Property code: OC-90062

Situated just 2 miles from Bamburgh, this modern property enjoys spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. It has three bedrooms and sleeps up to six people, so it’s perfect for families or groups of friends happy to share. With large communal areas, a fabulous deck outside and comfortable bedrooms, it’s a wonderful spot for a relaxing getaway.

The property is a detached lodge which you enter through the hallway with space for storing all outerwear. Head through to the open-plan living area which has high ceilings so it feels wonderfully spacious. The kitchen/dining area has floor-to-ceiling windows flooding the room with natural light. The doors can be fully opened onto the deck next to the kitchen which offers views of the area’s cliffs. The kitchen has a contemporary feel and has everything you need to rustle up delicious meals. The dining table makes mealtimes sociable with space for all. The lounge is equally impressive with more floor-to-ceiling windows. It has sofas so you can unwind around the wood burner or TV, when you’re not looking at the view. Two bedrooms lead off the lounge, as well as a lovely bathroom – pick between a double with its own en-suite, and a twin room. The property has one further double bedroom off the kitchen and a family bathroom. Outside, the balcony decking has plenty of seating to make the most of the views.

The property is located in an old quarry, amongst twelve other lodges. The quarry once provided stones for the nearby Bamburgh Castle. While Bamburgh with all its eateries and amenities is just 2 miles distant, other towns such as Seahouses (6 miles) are also worth a visit. You could head 8 miles to Beadnell Bay for another pretty stretch of sand, food at a local restaurant, or water sports.

Lovely spacious lodge flooded with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows. Well equipped and spotlessly clean . Lovely welcome pack from the owner with tea, coffee, milk & biscuits . The walk into Bamburgh takes about 45 minutes across public footpaths or via the road. If you take the car into Bamburgh best to go early to get a parking space or you can pay 6.00 to stay in the car park next to St.Aidans church . We loved our stay & would definitely return to this lovely property Hide

Lovely quiet cottage with great views of Bamburgh Castle. Not far from a public footpath to walk into Banburgh or a short 5 min drive.

The property was lovely. Located in a quarry and a short drive to the nearest beach. Beds were really comfortable. Kitchen equipment limited - no large saucepan or bowls to microwave anything - beans etc. Didnt use the decking area as it was too cold but looked lovely although very slippy when wet. This is not the case and it only has wire around it. Not safe for our young dog to be off lead. Hide

We have just returned from a 7 day stay at this delightful lodge situated in a former quarry about 2 miles from Bamburgh village. We had a 3 night break in Seagrass and we were thoroughly delighted with the accommodation. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything you could wish for, especially in the kitchen. Beautiful location with amazing views. Lodge is well laid out and very well equipped. Lots of room, we were a party of 6 adults and it worked well. Great place to explore the beautiful coastline from but also take some time out to chill at the lodge. Loved it!

A warm, comfortable and fairly new property, designed to a high standard, in a good location. We were surprised there was no welcome pack (not even a pint of milk!) or logs for the woodburner, and there was too little cutlery and crockery and not enough pans for 6 people.
