Gable Cottage is a beautifully refurbished, two storey, stone-built cottage for up to 6 guests with a range of lovely facilities. It is ideal for a family or group of friends looking for somewhere special to come home to after days out and about in this stunning area. Lovingly renovated to restore its original charm whilst providing holiday makers with an excellent standard of accommodation, Gable Cottage is located on a quiet street in the heart of the historic harbour area, just a short walk from the shops, restaurants and friendly pubs in the lovely village of Seahouses on the Northumberland coast.

Gable Cottage has 3 bedrooms; a master with king-size bed, a second bedroom with a small double bed and a further room with bunk beds perfect for the children. The cottage oozes original charm with modern comforts, such as a cosy wood burning stove in the spacious lounge, free guest Wi-Fi, BT TV with sport package and Netflix. A useful utility room is accessed via the rear door with a washing machine and additional storage space.

Close to the coastal path, Gable Cottage is perfectly placed for guests to enjoy the many local attractions, including the bustling harbour and golden, sandy beach, boat trips to the Farne Islands for puffins, seals and an array of amazing birdlife and Seahouses Golf course which is open to visitors all year round. No trip to the area is complete without a walk to Bamburgh Castle and its stunning beach, plus Bamburgh village boasts a great range of independent shops and locally renowned places to eat and drink. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is just a short drive, as well as the world renowned Alnwick Gardens and Castle (of Downton Abbey and Hogwarts fame). Close by, you can access the fabulous, local seaside villages of Beadnell with its stunning bay for watersports and picnics in the sand dunes, Low Newton-by-the-Sea, Craster village for its pretty harbour, great seafood and coastal path to Dunstanburgh Castle and all the other local attractions are all within easy driving distance throughout Northumberland.

Great 1 week stay with a family of 5. Well equipped and comfortable cottage in a good location for town and only two minutes from the beach, on a quiet side street. The Black Swan Inn is 1min round the corner was great (if not low-cost) for food and does excellent cocktails.

A quaint cottage but with all mod cons. Extremely comfortable and spacious, everything has been thought of. Immaculately clean. Reserved parking. Literally one minutes walk from the harbour. Perfect for a family.

Our fourth year at Gable Cottage, and we anjoyed it as much as ever. A warm and cosy cottage with a wood stove fire, which is lovely and clean with a mix of a traditional and modern feel. It has a geat kitchen and everything we need for a family holiday in the area. Lovely cottage with spacious living areas. We welcomed the parking outside the front door and the location was excellent. The harbour was a short walk and an excellent gastro pub, The Black Swan, was literally around the corner. An excellent choice for visiting the main attractions in northern Northumberland.

Lovely cottage, plenty of equipment in kitchen and all the info in the folder was really helpful. Welcome pack a nice gesture. Nice to see books, games and puzzles and also leaflets on things to do. The parking posts weren't very easy to use. Well we struggled!

We had an excellent week in this comfy cottage. We enjoyed being near the harbour and having the very good fresh fish shop around the corner. We do recommend the kippers. The kitchen was very well stocked. Three of us were walking the coastal section of the St Oswald Way. So being in Seahouses, which is nearly half way down that section, was very gRead moreood. Really comfortable and cosy cottage in a great location. Plenty of space and the kitchen has everything you need. Although there is no outdoor area to use, you are really close to the harbour and a beach. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

The cottage is really well situated for Sea Houses and Sea Houses is well placed as a base to visit local towns. We visited as a family 3 generations and there was something for us all. Lovely cottage and holiday.

The cottage is beautiful, well equipped and very comfortable. I loved the fact that the cottage has its own TV accounts, it made life so easy. The owners were on the ball when we needed them. The welcome pack was an absolute delight. Although parking wasn't straight forward, we soon got the hang of it. All good stuff!!

This is a lovely holiday cottage in a perfect location right in the middle of Seahouses. The parking right outside takes away any stress. The cottage is very well equipped throughout and the surprise hamper we got was a lovely touch. It's comfortable and cosy with books and games to keep you occupied if the weather isn't great. We had a wonderful stay at Gable Cottage which was clean & tidy & the perfect place to unwind following a day of exploring the local area.
