Hare Hideaway is a lovely little cottage in an excellent location for visiting both the coast and border towns, historic houses and riverside walks. It's between two good pubs serving food and the fish and chip van visits the village on a Thursday evening. The cottage is beautifully furnished, warm and comfortable. There is a local shop, butchers aRead morend a bakery (though open infrequently), take some basic cooking essentials as only salt and pepper was available at the cottage. We'd recommend the cottage! We had the most wonderful 5-night stay at this beautiful cottage and genuinely didnt want to leave. As a family of 4 with 2 teenage girls, it can sometimes be tricky to find somewhere that suits everyone, but this place absolutely exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the stunning decor. Every room has been Read morethoughtfully designed, with the most beautiful finishes and cosy, welcoming touches that made it feel like a real home-from-home. Its clear that so much care has gone into every detail and those little extras really make a difference. The kitchen was really well equipped - everything you could possibly need. The air fryer was a brilliant addition (especially with teenagers!), and the coffee machine, complete with a generous selection of pods, was a treat each morning. We also loved the large fluffy towels and the strong water pressure, which made showering after a day of walking, a treat! The location is just as special as the cottage itself - quaint, peaceful and full of charm. Having a local shop, pub, bakers and butchers nearby was incredibly convenient and added to the whole experience of staying in such a lovely community. We made the most of the area, exploring Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle, as well as spending time on the breathtaking white sandy beaches nearby. There is so much to do and its the perfect base for discovering everything the borders and surrounding areas have to offer. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing escape in a truly beautiful part of the country. Were already talking about coming back! Hide
