Filled with colour and character, this picturesque cottage is nestled in a quaint little village in Northumberland and is the perfect retreat for a group of eight escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Step into this reverse-level home and climb the stairs to the first floor, which is where the living space is situated. The lounge/kitchen/diner is all open-plan and set beneath a high, beamed ceiling. Fire up the warming wood burner and get comfortable on the sofas. The Smart TV has plenty of apps, so you can find something to watch that all the group is happy with. Prepare delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen and eat together around the dining table so you can refuel after busy days. A twin bedroom is located on this floor, too, alongside a family bathroom. Downstairs on the ground floor are the remaining three bedrooms, another twin, and two king-sizes, which both have en-suite shower rooms, making sleeping arrangements flexible. The pretty garden is a real sun trap and has a lovely patio area for al fresco dining. There is also private parking available for four cars.
The village of Chatton contains a lovely country pub, a village store, and a children’s playground (200 metres). Britain’s ‘most haunted’ historic castle, Chillingham Castle, is located 2 miles away, and the coastal Bamburgh Castle is 11 miles away. The bustling village of Seahouses (12 miles) has plenty of eateries and shops, along with a charming beach offering superb views over to the Farne Islands. Visit the harbour and hop on a boat trip to these islands and say hello to the wildlife that resides here.
