The decor is lovely and as expected of one of Coquet Cottages homes however, having stayed at at numerous Coquet Cottages holiday homes, there were a few things at Little Red Hen House that could have made our stay better. The hamper was basic but I understand this is down to the owner, it did include butter, bread, milk, cheese and scones which weRead morere delicious . An even better if for kitchen resources would be to have cling film, foil and spare bin bags. I really dont want this to review to come across as negative, instead what could be done to make the stay more welcoming. It is a lovely home and made a good base for us. Hide

This is our second visit and won't be our last. We really love staying here, its in a good location to explore all of the wonderful beaches Northumberland has to offer. The accommodation is very cosy and equipped with everything you need. It is home from home and we love it.

Lovely house and location, did not realise there is no washing machine or extra towels, so not viable if you have a family or need to clean anything. We could not risk it again and its a shame they dont have one. Just beware.

We enjoyed uor stay;. the cottage is well funished and decorated. when we arrived the welcome package was very welcome indeed, with tea, biscuits, coffee, etc. As none of us had used an induction hob before we would have appreciated some instructions. All the necessary kitchen equipment was provided including a lovely Nespresso coffee machine. The oRead morenly thing missing was T towels for drying up when we didn't use the dishwasher. The farm setting was lovely and the sound of mooing cattle didn't disturb us neither did the passing trains. The property itself was very dog friendly as promised sadly the farm dog wasn't friendly with our dog and we had to distract him when we brought ours in from the car. The surrounding area was beautiful with several long beaches which we enjoyed with the dog on a daily basis. Warkworth Castle is well worth a visit, sadly we didn't mansage to fit in the hermitage, maybe next time. Hide
