Warkworth is a charming village packed with cosy pubs, tempting eateries and a golf course all within 0.5 miles, plus a medieval castle and sweeping shoreline within 1 mile. The property is dog-friendly and ideal for a fun-filled trip with family or friends.

There’s also a flexible twin room with its own en-suite shower room, plus a bright double bedroom. A family bathroom with both a bath and walk-in shower completes the layout. Outdoors, take your pick from several seating areas, two lawns (one accessed through a gate for extra privacy), and a furnished patio ready for fresh-air dining. There’s parking for two cars on the gated driveway.

A walk along the Coquet Estuary brings you to the fishing town of Amble (2.5 miles), while the historic delights of Alnwick (7.5 miles) and its famous gardens wait just up the coast. Within 17 miles, you’ll also find family favourites like Northumberland Zoo, Dunstanburgh Castle, and Brinkburn Priory.

Lovely property, comfortable, modern and well equipped. Its ideal for dog owners given easy access to the beach and river. In the interest of proportionate balance the property is close to others with shared access roads and a couple of the bedrooms are on the slightly smaller but we moved suitcases to the generous utility room during our stay.

We stayed at Beachcomber cottage over Bee Year. The cottage was wonderful. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and the layout was great too. I couldnt fault it. Location perfect for both the beach and Warkworth village. I would definitely return.

An outstanding cottage for those looking for an immaculately presented and equipped three bed luxury base close to miles of sandy beach.

The cottage was great. Very comfortable and well equipped and brilliant location with bach, river, castle and numerous restaurants and cafes within easy reach. We were there without a car and that was fine. Got the bus to Amble when we needed groceries.

This was our first family holiday in Northumberland and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beachcomber, has been refurbished to a very high standard, whilst in-keeping with the charm of the building. Its location was spot-on for us - 10 minutes walk to miles of the beautiful sandy beach, or half an hour along the costal path to Amble. A quick drivRead moree to other surrounding villages and not long to get to Lindisfarne. With much more to do and Beachcomber being a perfect fit for our family, weve already booked again for next year Hide
