A very nice, well equipped property in a quiet but central location with a very pleasant outlook. If we return to Warkworth we would definitely rent it again.

The cottage is a very comfortable house in a cul de sac of new builds next to the Coquet river. There are very nice walks straight from the front door, both locally and longer ones. It's within easy (though steeply uphill) walking access of the village and the fantastic and really well preserved castle. So the location is great. We really likedRead more having access to the car charging port at the house. Inside it's comfortable and spacious, with a really well equipped kitchen, access at the back to a small enclosed garden, and with very comfortable and new beds and bedding. The furniture in the sitting room is very comfortable (not always the case in holiday cottages). There's loads of hot water for the bath and showers. The view of the river from the sitting room was fascinating - we saw herons fishing and flying overhead. As always with Coquet Cottages, this is a really comfortable place for a holiday, very thoughtfully supplied (including with a genuinely useful welcome basket filled with great local food) and we're very much hoping to stay here again soon. Owl Cottage was immaculate and welcoming when we arrived on a damp cold January evening the heating was on and some lights had been left on for our arrival. The welcome packs for us and our Boston Terrier Colonel Patrick were very thoughtful with the addition of fresh flowers making it very homely. The bed and sofas were very comfy and we had everRead moreything we needed in the spacious kitchen. The outdoor area was perfect for our small dog and the view of the river was lovely. As expected in January the weather was cold wet & windy but Owl Cottage provide a cosy warm retreat after some challenging walks. We enjoyed some tasty lunches at the Masons Arms and Bertrams as they are a short walk from Owl Cottage we also had lunch at the Boathouse in Amble after walking down & along the dunes towards Druridge Bay. We would definitely recommend Owl Cottage and hope to stay again Hide

Thanks so much for a great long weekend spent at Owl Cottage. The property was so lovely and the customer service from Coquet cottages THE BEST i've experienced. I've booked with many others over recent years - cottages.com, Sykes, Crabtree and Crabtree and this trip was the best yet. The welcome baskets were so lovely - all local produce, the breaRead mored, milk, chocolate, coffee, teabags, fresh flowers, scones and Jam and even a welcome basket for our dog - with a towel for her wet paws and lovely treats which she LOVED. Its those thoughtful gestures that make such a difference to your holiday experience, so thanks so much from us. The property itself was spacious and so comfortable - special mention to the sofas and the comfy beds! Everything you could need in the kitchen too and the location on the river amazing. We didn't walk to the beach as the hills were quite steep but we did drive up and park and walk down through the dunes which was very special at sunrise. We will definitely be choosing Coquet for our next break - thanks to Kira for being awesome and helping with the booking. Cannot recommend the property enough - the EV charge was AMAZING too - right on the drive and no issues with charging. Hide
