Offering a perfect escape for groups of friends or large families, this delightful home has a superb location in the beautiful coastal town of Bamburgh. Fill your days with scenic walks, fun on the beach and tours of historic castles, before returning to al fresco meals in your enclosed courtyard or cosy evenings by the wood burner.

The mid-terrace cottage spans three floors and combines characterful features with high-quality furnishings, stylish design and a practical layout. A welcoming entrance hall leads into the generously sized lounge, where there’s soft seating for everyone to spread out around the wood burner and Smart TV. The kitchen/diner has been designed to make life easy for the cook, and includes an American-style fridge/freezer, a microwave and a dishwasher. The dining table offers room for everyone to enjoy celebratory meals together. There are two super-king-size bedrooms on the first floor, which can be made up as twins on request, and two king-size rooms (with far-reaching views and sloping ceilings) on the top floor. Each bedroom is spacious, beautifully designed and boasts en-suite facilities. On warm days, open the doors to your private rear courtyard and relax in the sunshine. You’ll also have secure storage space for bikes and outdoor gear. Free parking is available throughout the village.

Wander through Bamburgh and discover shops, pubs and eateries, as well as the RNLI Grace Darling Museum. You can’t miss the historic castle, one of the largest inhabited castles in the country. The village’s beautiful sandy beach, dog-friendly all year, is a great place for learning to surf, and it also has a golf club which has one of the most scenic courses in the country. Seahouses is 3.5 miles away, iconic Alnwick Castle is 16 miles away, and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne is 16.5 miles away.

A lovely, well equipped property perfect for a family. Parking can be a challenge and the front door opens straight onto the street which you have to be very aware of for children and a dog

We had a wonderful stay at Shearwater, lovely modern property in great condition. The location is perfect with all local amenities plus beach and castle in easy walking distance. Welcome pack including fresh milk in the fridge on arrival is a nice touch as was the dog bowl with treats and poo bags!

Beautiful cottage, immaculate and quality furnishings. Plenty seating in lounge and kitchen for large family and kitchen well stocked with equipment for cooking. All bedrooms en-suite with very comfortable beds, lovely linen and towels. We were also provided with a lovely welcome hamper.
