Make special memories with your loved ones at this beautiful period cottage in Warkworth. Sleeping six people across three bedrooms, it’s perfect for families or groups of friends in search of a historic cottage to call home while they explore the Northumberland coast together. Discover Warkworth’s beautiful beach, quaint village and impressive castle, and in the evening, return to your cottage’s patio to share a relaxing al fresco dinner with your loved ones.

Park in your private parking spot and step inside this lovely cottage. Dating back to 1905, it retains many nods to its long history. Head to the lounge and make yourself at home while you admire the traditional country style decor, which is centred around a charming gas fire set in a pretty brick fireplace. When it’s time to eat, head to the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner to whip up some dinner to share at the elegant dining table. Alternatively, head out into the patio garden to enjoy a sumptuous al fresco feast. After dinner, head back to the lounge to catch up on your favourite TV shows. At the end of the day, you’ll find three lovely bedrooms upstairs – two stylish king-size and one quaint twin. Completing the layout, you’ll discover a smart family bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. In the morning, sip your coffee in the armchair that sits in the lounge’s bay window – the river views are lovely.

Head into Amble (2 miles) and hop on a boat trip to visit the colonies of Atlantic puffins and grey seals that thrive offshore. Or make a beeline for Alnwick (7.5 miles) to see its famous medieval castle, which starred in the Harry Potter films.

Having had several vacations in Northumberland including two previously in Warkworth I can say that Victoria Cottage is probably the best rental property of them all. Great location next to the river and easy walk to all the village amenities and a good base for exploring the area. The house itself was spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortableRead more. Would definitely choose again. Hide
