Surrounded by beautiful countryside, this barn conversion offers a peaceful rural escape for groups of up to six people, plus two canine companions. With a wood burner, Smart TVs and a large, enclosed garden, it’s a superb base for exploring picturesque villages, historic castles, beautiful beaches and the amazing attractions of the Northumberland coast.

Follow the pretty path through the garden to the front door and enter the stylish cottage, which is located within a boutique complex of former farm buildings. In the light-filled lounge, you’ll find a wood burner set into a stone fireplace, and plenty of comfortable seating in which to snuggle up as you enjoy movie nights on the Smart TV. The open-plan kitchen/diner has a breakfast bar and diner-style bench seating in one corner, with everything provided for creating hearty holiday meals, including a range-style cooker. Upstairs, the huge king-size bedroom boasts an en-suite shower room, a sofa and a Smart TV, while the lovely double bedroom has a Smart TV. There’s also a cheerful twin room, perfect for children. All three bedrooms have luxury linens and anti-allergy bedding. Completing the interior is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. French doors from the lounge open to the front patio, a beautiful spot for al fresco drinks and dining, and there’s also a large, enclosed lawn where children and pets can play. Allocated parking for one car if provided, with further spaces available in the complex.

Enjoy walks through scenic countryside from your front door, or head into Alnwick, 3 miles away, where you’ll find shops, pubs and eateries, as well as the magnificent castle, known as ‘the Windsor of the North’. The fishing village of Craster, renowned for its kippers, is 4.5 miles away, and the castles of Dunstanburgh and Warkworth are both within 9 miles.

We loved our stay at Apple Tree Barn. The house was beautiful, so cosy and comfortable. It was very well equipped and had everything we needed. The garden was lovely and had unobstructed, beautiful views across rolling fields. It is so well located to explore the area and acted as a perfect base for us. Its only a 5 min drive from Alnwick and so clRead moreose to the Alnwick gardens in particular. The welcome basket on arrival was such a treat and very much appreciated! Wed love to go back. Hide

A beautiful cottage with the most amazing garden, with countryside views. The owner went above and beyond and we couldn't recommend this place highly enough. The little touches - such as an Alexa in every bedroom, a cupboard full of board games, a huge TV in the living room, and a coffee machine in the kitchen - really added to our comfort.

Our first impressions of Apple Tree Barn were very positive. We were impressed by the expanse of beautiful scenery surrounding the property on our arrival and a generous hamper was there to welcome us inside. It is a well equipped and spacious property with very friendly and helpful neighbours who recommended some lovely local places to visit. OuRead morer dogs enjoyed playing and relaxing in the secure garden which is well kept and a great place to spend time. The comfy summer house provides shelter should you need it. Peaceful and comfortable, log burner on..perfect for relaxing break. Beaches nearby all dog friendly. Bamburgh 20 mins away. Alnwick 10 mins. Welcome pack with essentials and a few extras. Lovely bedrooms, tastefully set out. 2 outside spaces...when warmer the front garden would be well used ...amazing dark skies.

Apple Tree barn is welcoming, comfortable & located just outside Alnwick, & is within easy reach of the coast & beaches. The barn has everything needed, being spacious, well equipped & has a large enclosed garden & a summer house in which to enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the sunset.
