The shared courtyard outside, enclosed by an iron gate, offers a delightful bench, perfect for soaking up your peaceful surroundings with a morning coffee or glass of something chilled at sundown. Parking is on the roadside, either on the main street or the riverside, but you may load and unload at the gates to the courtyard.

Lying on the banks of the River Coquet, the picturesque village of Warkworth boasts some breathtaking scenery and a wonderful array of artisan shops and boutiques. There’s plenty to do in the area, with a well-preserved Norman castle overlooking the village, an array of riverside walks (50 metres away) and cycle trails, and the golden Warkworth Beach (1.5 miles). Those who love life by the water can venture to Druridge Bay Country Park (4.5 miles), home to a 100-acre lake surrounded by woods and meadows, whilst golfers can enjoy Alnmouth Golf Club (5 miles). The majestic Alnwick Castle is just 7.5 miles away.

It was very pleasant to find a basket of wonderful goodies, of coffee, tea, biscuits , scones, butter and jam and much more! Very welcoming after a long journey. River on your doorstep, lovely beach to walk to, buses to lots of interesting places, castle up the road and two good pubs serving delicious food and well kept beer. Excellent cosy little cottage for a couple & a small dog. We all thoroughly enjoyed. We settled into the cottage immediately. Great location, in the middle of Warkworth but still nice & quiet. We had a lovely time at Hotspur Cottage. This was our second visit and it is a cosy, comfortable, perfect tiny house for two in an amazing central location, although very quiet and peaceful. We loved it thank you.

Hotspur is in a great position in a quiet spot right in the centre of the village. It's comfortable and has all you could need for a weekend.

We enjoyed our week enormously. Hostspur Cottage was very comfortable and cosy and spotlessly clean. Its in a perfect peaceful position yet only steps away from the village with shops, pubs and restaurants and a short stroll to the Church, Castle and river. We had everything we could possibly require for our stay. Toiletries were high class and luxRead moreury. We received a stunning welcome hamper plus one for our dog. Parking was easily available and free in Warkworth which is a terrific bonus. The staff at Coquet Cottages were extremely professional, kind and helpful and made us feel so welcome. Hotspur cottage cannot fault ideally located within warkworth and for travelling around. Very comfortable spotlessly clean a much loved home. Recently I stayed for a long weekend in this lovely cottage, along with my little dog. The cottage was so warm, cosy and welcoming. Within easy walking distance of the beach, a beautiful place to stay.
