Alnmouth train station linking both North to Scotland and South to London is a mere 700 meters from the cottage so, you can even decide to leave the car at home! There is a bike rental shop at the train station too!!
The new Greenrig halt of the Aln Valley Railway is just a mile from the cottage and can be accessed by a short walk/ cycle ride along a scenic country lane, which also continues into Alnwick
