Superb location and amazing views across the countryside. A cosy and peaceful cottage. The bed could do with being replaced as the mattress was very uncomfortable. Otherwise a great stay.

Good views but no bedside lights or bedside tables and the bed is too small for us. Also telling us where the logs, matches etc are hidden away would have helped us keep warm the first night before we found them in the bottom of the pine chest.

It appears the cottage is being sold so a review at this stage is irrelevant. However the view from the lounge window was pleasant and we spotted a pair of kestrels on several occasions-a real joy. The cottage gives access to lovely beaches along that stretch of coastline and there is plenty to do and see. Despite there being a station just down thRead moree road, the trains did not disturb the peace and gave easy access to other locations without driving. Hide

The cottage was uncomfortable for us. A squeaky bed, low settee, mouse trap and damp beetles. The floors were wooden floorboards. Very uneven and squeaky. Maybe we are spoilt but we expected comfort. A log burner with no logs, a wall heater that developed a fault. Not our idea of a holiday we booked for 3 days stayed for 1 night.
