Escape to the countryside at this gorgeous wooden chalet with room for four in the popular Felmoor Country Park. It’s a lovely setting for relaxing with family – it’s so nice that you might find it hard to leave! When you do fancy exploring, you’ll be around 9 miles from the beach, 8.5 miles from Morpeth and 11.5 from Alnwick, giving you plenty of options for exploring the area. Return home from your adventures to unwind in your private hot tub.
This cosy lodge features log cabin-style wooden cladding and a bright, open-plan living space. Large picture windows flood the indoor space with natural light, providing stunning lakeside views you can admire from the comfort of the sofa. The homely decor continues through to the restful double and twin bedrooms. Start each morning with a coffee or wind down on the decked terrace, where you can also finish the day with a glass of wine as the sun sets. After a dip in the hot tub, you may like to stroll down the wooden steps towards the lake. Private parking for two cars is also available.
Beyond the park, you’ll be surrounded by truly breathtaking landscapes, being equidistant (about 10 miles) between Northumberland’s National Park and its coastal National Landscape. Druridge Bay (8 miles) is wonderful for relaxing and dog walking, offering 3 miles of golden sands and wild dunes. Harry Potter fans absolutely must head to Alnwick Castle and Gardens (14 miles), which was used as a filming location for the first two films. Visit Amble (11 miles) to take a boat trip to Coquet Island, where puffins and seals make their home – it’s worth bringing some binoculars if you have any.
