The Shed is generally nice and well equipped for self catering. The south facing garden is a good size but I wish there was a parasol to give some shade as we couldn't use it. The sofa is not comfortable to sit on as its just foam over a solid wood sheet. The bed is comfortable with nice pillows. The ensuite needs refurbishing as the bath panels arRead moree not fitted properly and the basin cabinet has a lot of paint loss on the top. As expected for a rural location WiFi is slow but does work. Property location is good for travelling to various places of interest or Embleton beach. Hide

The sofa is extremely uncomfortable and not really fit for purpose. The toilets take several flushings to actually clear. The bottom bath panel was broken. The floors are cracked and need a good deep clean. The cottage was warm but it seemed impossible to control the heating, The furniture looks cheap and is badly arranged. We loved Northumberland however the cottage was very disappointing, the cottage is in need of a deep clean. The bathroom and living room need an upgrade the room felt cluttered and sofa was very uncomfortable. We had a problem with the heating holiday cottages dealt with it promptly and the two lads that came were very helpful. The garden was untRead moreidy not somewhere you would sit in weather permitting. All this lead to use leaving a day early. Not a 4 star Hide

Had a nice stay but we were disappointed that it wasn't possible to have a bath as there was not enough hot water to run one (and it was one of the main reasons we choose the property) and the sofa was very uncomfortable. Otherwise the place was much larger than it looks on the photos and lovely and warm.

Property not clean, not comfortable full of half dead plants. The garden is also not as picture on website, one part resembles a build site and the rest of the garden untidy, not a garden to sit in. Will not be returning to the Shed.

The utility room with shower was really handy after our sandy, doggy, beach walks. The bed was really comfy with a good sized ensuite bathroom.
