Located just south of Berwick-upon-Tweed (5 miles) and only 1.5 miles from the expanse of Cheswick Sands, this stylish holiday home offers the perfect coastal retreat in Northumberland. The dog-friendly sandy beach is ideal for wind and kite surfing, refreshing walks, and picnics among the dunes, with views stretching to the Scottish Borders and Holy Island on clear days. Golfers will appreciate the proximity to picturesque Goswick Golf Club, while walking enthusiasts can enjoy the coastal path from Cheswick to Berwick. The historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed provides excellent shopping, galleries, and the Lowry Trail, with Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle making perfect day trips during your Northumberland vacation.

Contemporary, light-filled and finished to a high standard throughout, this spacious two-storey holiday home sleeps up to ten guests and welcomes two dogs. The inviting lounge offers plenty of comfortable seating and a Smart TV – ideal for relaxed evenings. At the heart of the home is the sociable kitchen/diner, complete with breakfast bar, large dining table and bi-folding doors that open onto the deck for effortless indoor/outdoor living. The sleek kitchen includes a wine cooler, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, five-ring induction hob, electric oven, built-in microwave and Nespresso machine. A handy utility room provides a washing machine, tumble dryer and an additional sink.

Downstairs, a generously sized family bedroom features two double beds, each with a single bunk overhead – great for children – plus a Smart TV and PlayStation. Upstairs, three elegant bedrooms each have a super-king-size bed, built-in storage and Smart TV. One has an en-suite shower room, while the main family bathroom includes a freestanding bath with handheld shower, separate walk-in rainfall shower, and a Bluetooth mirror for added luxury. A retro-style arcade machine on the upstairs landing adds a nostalgic touch for guests of all ages.

Outside, bi-folding doors open onto a raised, decked area with garden furniture – perfect for morning coffee or al fresco meals. Steps lead down to the fully enclosed garden with a lawn shaded by mature trees, brick-built BBQ, and plenty of space for children and pets to enjoy. A fantastic play area at the front of the house includes a trampoline, swings and a climbing frame – a real highlight for families. Off-road parking is available for three cars, with additional space if needed.

We were very happy with our stay at Holly Tree House. Holly and Mike are very hospitable hosts and were very eager to make sure we had everything we needed. The house is very clean,comfortable and spacious which we enjoy and the bed was extremely comfortable. The house is very conveniently placed for exploring the countryside and coastal areas. An absolutely delightful holiday home. Holly Tree Cottage is furnished and adorned to a beautiful standard. So many aspects, such as, the kitchen and bathroom are really well thought out with some really neat and inspired touches. We certainly need to give thanks to Holly and Michael for hosting; what a wonderful escape they've created and in a grRead moreeat location to explore Northumberland from. We arrived in the October half term so the weather was dry but the nights drawing in but there was still plenty to do inside the house in the evenings too! I've no doubt this is a great place to visit all year round and would love to visit again so we can spend more time in the garden. The beds are extremely comfortable and there's even a small play area for children at the front of the house too. I'd recommend Holly Tree Cottage very highly and definitely think it's well worth the money. Hide

What a wonderful place for a holiday. Close to beaches and the station in Berwick. We went to Edinburgh for the day by train. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. The swings and play area for children is great. Holly tree House was great for our family. Plenty of space inside and out for adults and children alike. The garden was lovely and we enjoyed a couple of barbecues while we were there. Holly and Mike were great hosts and provided very thoughtful welcome gifts. They always made sure to ask if everything was ok with the house. You will not be disappointed with Holly Tree House. Beautiful modern property ideal for families. We were on holiday with friends and it worked for us perfectly as two families of 2 adults with 2 children, ages ranging from 4 to 9. The swing set was well used by our boys and it was so kind of Holly to let us use the large space of grass for our boyRead mores to play football and tennis. The house it self was immaculate, modern and ideal for families to relax and have fun together. The beds are the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in and felt like giant marshmallows!!! Great storage for all clothing and things a family might bring with them! Large kitchen with utility, perfect for us! Perfect location for beautiful beaches and on the A1 for attractions like Alnwick castle, Bamburgh and Northumberland Zoo. The house was absolutely stunning and met all the needs for our visit. There was plants space for 3 couples and 2 dogs. The kitchen diner made for great socialising and the lounge gave us extra space to chat. Proximity to the beach in walking distance was an added bonus. We will definitely be booking again.

Fabulous house in a great location, ideal for accessing lots of local attractions. Our only issue was that we didnt visit in warmer weather so couldnt make the most of the fab outdoors space. We cant wait to book up for the warmer months.
