This wonderful Northumberland cottage promises an eventful break for any fun-seeking group. The lodge-style property is set on a 180-acre country park with a golf course, tennis courts, children''s play area and walks right on the doorstep, meaning you won''t have to venture far in search of excitement. It''s also within reach of the Northumberland National Park (10 miles) and the coastal National Landscape (8.5 miles), offering many more adventure opportunities. The accommodation itself is a delightful abode with space for four to unwind, dog-friendly and perfect for families.

The country lodge exterior gives way to a modern, bright and stylish interior that''s all set out on one floor. The rooms centre around an open-plan living space with so much room for relaxation. The kitchen and living areas are neatly separated by a wall with the dining table in between both, creating a place to unwind even whilst dinner''s cooking. Use French doors to step out onto the adjacent decking, an enclosed, raised space with outdoor seating. Back inside, two bedrooms are positioned alongside a family bathroom. Laid out as a double and a twin, both rooms are comfy and offer restful, uninterrupted nights of rest.

You can step out and explore walks in every direction from here, getting to know the beauty of rural Northumberland on your travels. You must find time to visit Alnwick (8 miles), a charming market town that''s doused in heritage. Harry Potter fans will love tours of the town''s ancient castle, one of the filming locations in the movie, and fans of the macabre will be deeply intrigued by the estate''s poison garden. A little further away, the neighbouring village of Alnmouth (9 miles) is a perfect seaside destination with a wide stretch of beach.

Would highly recommend The Betsy. Great place to stay very well equipped and spotlessly clean. I would certainly recommend a stay here. We had the advantage of having great weather and the wrap around deck was a great place to relax

We really enjoyed our stay in the lodge. It was lovely, in a beautiful spot and definitely located in the best part of the park. It was also respectful and nice to see that just because we have a furry family, the standards aren't dropped in a pet friendly accommodation. We love Northumberland, it's just stunning wherever you look. It was clean andRead more furnished beautifully with good quality furnishings The sofa, chair & beds were all super comfy. The shower was fab. Being able to sit out on the verandah when the sun was out was a treat & enjoy the fresh air in the park. Easy to find , located in Swarland which was a beautiful little village, lovely pet friendly pub nearby called the Cook & Barker , had an AMAZING Sunday dinner and a lovely tea there. Unfortunately never got to sample the food in the coast & country , it ran out of food but we did have a lovely breakfast at Nelsons in the park. It was really cold when we first arrived, but the heating literally only took minutes to warm the lodge through. We were then lucky to have a few days of sun. Have made a couple of recommendations re duvet covers we felt were too thin for the time of year & a microwave upgrade, but what a fab place. We really enjoyed our stay in the lodge and would definitely go back, it's inspired us to investigate lodges ourselves. Hide
