Overlooking Craster''s harbour, this pretty cottage once belonged to a Fisherman, and has now been thoughtfully refurbished, retaining many of its original features, into a fabulous family-friendly home for seven.
Set over three floors offering wonderful views, this pleasant home has plenty of room for guests to spend time together socialising or relaxing in solitude. Head through the stone garden wall to the front door and leave your walking boots in the hallway. Kick back on the comfortable sofas in the lounge, flick on the smart TV and settle in for a cosy movie night. To the other end of the hallway is a kitchen/diner which has a stone-flagged floor and walk-in larder-style cupboard. The spacious dining table sits all guests so you can eat together or play games of an evening. Upstairs on the first floor are two of the four bedrooms, and a family bathroom. Choose from a king-size bedroom which also contains a single sofa bed, alongside a spacious twin bedroom with views over towards the harbour. On the second floor are the remaining bedrooms, a double, and a single, both offering fabulous views. Completing this level is a shower room with a walk-in shower, and a WC. The little, enclosed garden out the front has a handy bench for outdoor dining, and to the rear is a further patio area where you can sip on a morning coffee and watch the world go by.
Craster has a handy village shop and a delectable seafood restaurant, just 200 metres away. Join the Northumberland Coast Path and head south towards the scenic Cullnernose Point (1 mile) and the golden Howick Sands (2 miles) or north to Dunstanburgh Castle (1.5 miles). The superb Alnwick Castle and Gardens are just 7.5 miles away, a great family day out for all.
