In rural Northumberland, this traditionally appointed farmhouse offers superb, comfortable interiors for nine guests to unwind, perfect for a family stay or a getaway with friends. Complete with a lawned garden, a suntrap patio and plenty of exceptionally cosy inside spaces for your whole group to relax in, the accommodation is a fantastic destination for a stay in warm or cold weather. Bundle up and get stuck into rewarding walks or bike rides along the coastal path throughout the winter months or grab buckets and spades for relaxing beach days when the sun shines. The property is dog friendly, and Northumberland is famed for its pristine beaches within minimal pet restrictions.

The sprawling farmhouse has been decked out with plenty of elevated country house features, including a Rangemaster oven and a cosy wood burner set in an original inglenook fireplace. On the ground floor, you’re greeted by a dine-in kitchen, a separate snug and a lovely lounge, creating more than enough room for all guests to unwind when you’re not out and about. The first of the property’s five bedrooms is located downstairs, an attractive king-size with a zip-and-link bed. The remaining bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite with the others served by a family bathroom, are to be found upstairs. Choose your outdoor spot: either the suntrap gravel patio or the lawned garden.

Visit the nearby village of Beadnell (5.5 miles), part of the AONB coast, for beach days and other seaside activities. Beadnell Bay (6 miles) is an exceptional beach with an arc of golden sand and water sports opportunities. Along the coastal path, you’ll reach Seahouses (7 miles), a harbour village with regular boat trips that adventure-seeking visitors will adore. Further up the pathway, you’ll find Bamburgh (7 miles), a splendid seaside destination with a historic castle, the RNLI Grace Darling Museum, some spectacular seafood eateries and another quality beach.

The farmhouse is in a perfect location for visiting the Northumberland coast. Its in a small village, a peaceful location but with easy access to beaches and castles as well as Alnwick and Alnmouth. It had ample space for 8 adults and 2 young children. It is beautifully furnished and comfortable.
