With space to relax in the garden or on the nearby beach, you’re sure to make some long-lasting family memories when staying in this delectable Northumberland holiday home. Located on the outskirts of medieval Embleton (1 mile) with Embleton Bay less than 500 metres from your doorstep, this property is situated in a superb position for enjoying the heritage coastline of the northeast. The property, which is also dog friendly, is laid out with a perfect amount of space for a party of six and a pull-out trundle bed in the bunk bedroom offers a space to sleep for one additional guest, ideal when holidaying with children.

Original wooden floorboards and handsome feature fireplaces add to the traditional charm of this house. On the ground floor, you’ll find a downstairs shower room and a handy boot room with space to store coats, boots or wetsuits. The lounge/dining room is separate from the farmhouse-style kitchen, offering space for relaxation whilst your family chef rustles up a meal. Dine indoors or out in the garden, making use of the large, fully enclosed lawn with a furnished patio space. Back inside, you can warm up by the wood burner before retiring to three bedrooms on the first floor.

Embleton Bay is a spectacular beach with views of Dunstanburgh Castle (1 mile) in the distance and space for ballgames on the sand. From here, you can follow the coastal path down to Craster (2.5 miles), a vibrant fishing village famous for its smoked kippers and lively harbour. For enjoyable days out, you can visit Howick Hall Gardens & Arboretum (5 miles), Alnwick Castle (9 miles) or Warkworth Castle (13 miles), each one just a short drive away. When visiting Warkworth, you’ll also want to drop down into the neighbouring town of Amble (14.5 miles), an extremely pleasant port destination.

The whole property was beautifully presented and very comfortable. The short walk to the beach was fantastic and perfect for early morning dog walks. The fully enclosed front and back garden was also a great plus with the dog, and larger than expected. Such a wonderful location to explore the Northumberland coast, just a pity we were only there forRead more a week. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you! Hide
