The beds and rooms were very comfortable which made for a total relaxation and rewinding holiday time. The support we received from Phillippa after a little mishap during our stay, was so comforting. thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our holiday so special. Holy island is one of the most tranquil places on earth, with so much history and natural resources to explore, and it is beautiful. We would highly recommend Tidal cottage and will look forwards to returning in the future. Thank you Debbie & Kadir and cocker spaniel Ivy Hide

This was a perfect holiday for us. I called it my Holy Island Hibernation, it was exactly what I wanted & needed somewhere comfy, warm & relaxing. We were so lucky with beautiful spring weather getting out & walking for miles each day. Frank our Border Terrier had a fab week, watching deer, rabbits, birds, seals & his favourite, sheep. Having beeRead moren to the island for a Christian retreat in the past I knew what the facilities were on the island so came well prepared. Tidal Cottage was perfect. Ive not stayed in such well equipped holiday accommodation. The cottage was beautifully decorated, very clean & comfortable. It is situated in the Main Street between a The Ship Inn and the excellent Pilgrim Coffee whose coffee bread was delicious. I could go on but really all I should say is it was perfect, thank you & I will be returning next year Hide

This is a lovely cottage with one of the best quality equipped kitchens we have seen. Lots of quality utensils and the microwave, oven, dishwasher and washing machine were easy to use but there is also a comprehensive list of instructions in the welcome book. The fridge is a small one with a single box freezer which we didnt realise and we had ordeRead morered a food delivery with too much frozen food but were able to keep most of it. The dining area is on wooden benches and stools with plenty of room for upto 4 people. The living area has a 2 seater sofa and a single chair. The wood burning fire was just lovely especially in the new year cold temperatures we had. The individual electric heating system worked perfectly so we could align the right temperature to each room where needed. The bathroom was superbly clean with two towels provided per person. The electric shower ran super hot water and while not overly powerful, it certainly did the job. The 2 singles bedroom had no cupboard for hanging clothes, perhaps a small one where the shelves and rocking chair are kept would serve the room better. The master room had a double bed that has a foot board and so anyone tall might struggle but all the mattresses and pillows were very comfortable indeed. The rooms were very quiet aswell with not much noise heard from outside. There is no allocated parking but we were able to park 2-3 cars up the road. The one time we did get parked outside the cottage (which we had hoped to get for when repacking the car) was soon taken again by the local resident over the road who didnt like us parking in their spot, oh dear! And so we had to pack up the car in the heavy rain which wasnt ideal. All in all, this cottage is beautifully decorated and presented and in a fantastic location on the island, a couple of doors from the nearest pub and just around the corner from the lovely post office/cafe ( who make the best home made sausage rolls and quiches!) There are always going to be suggestions for little improvements but none of what we found would put us off from staying here again. Thankyou to the owners for sharing this lovely little cottage.
