Get to know ‘the friendliest port in England’ with a trip to Amble in the Northumberland Coast AONB, staying in this magnificent mid-terrace property that’s been furnished to the highest standard. The accommodation is right at the heart of the town, just 500 metres from the characterful Amble Harbour Village where pastel-coloured beach huts house independent sellers flogging gifts and one-of-a-kind goodies. Designed with small families, a group of friends or a pair of couples in mind, the two-bedroom property invites four guests to stay and offers a zip-and-link bedroom for added versatility in sleeping arrangements.

Designed with a stylish eye, this property is a luxury choice with contemporary design features and modern fixtures. On the ground floor, a sprawling lounge/kitchen/diner creates an abundance of space for all guests to relax together. The lounge space features comfortable seating, an electric fire and a Smart TV, whilst the kitchen and dining space is entirely spacious and well equipped for whipping up a family-favourite dinner. From here, you can access the garden at the rear, an enclosed patio with outdoor furniture. Back inside, both bedrooms and two bathrooms, one being an en-suite, can be found upstairs on the first floor. Both rooms are king-size, and one room has the option of being laid out as a twin when required.

Pass by restaurants, pubs and shops as you wander around Amble, soaking up the friendly nature of this fantastic seaside community. From the harbour, you can embark on boat trips out to sea, specifically puffin-spotting expeditions around the protected Coquet Island. For your nearest beaches, Hauxley (1.5 miles) and Warkworth Beach (2.5 miles) are just a walk away with wide sandy shores and waters for splashing in. Warkworth itself is also home to an English Heritage castle (1.5 miles) that’s worth a visit.

An extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped house with a very helpful host. It was walking distance from the beautiful Amble harbour area which has good food and drink facilities. Within easy reach of beautiful beaches both north and south and fantastic castles, gardens and wildlife areas.

A lovely little mid-terrace house - "cottage" is perhaps stretching things a little - in a very nice part of England. It has everything you could possibly need and more; it was one of the best equipped properties in which we have ever stayed and we were very impressed from the moment we opened the door to the lounge. It may not suit all people: foRead morer instance, we struggled to come to terms with the on-the-road, first come first served parking; others may find Amble lacking in comparison to some of its ostensibly more picturesque neighbours (we didn't) or; the house may just be too small for them. In our view, it was perfect for two and could easily take four. It was warm, cosy and comfortable (especially the bed) and perfect for a week's break... even at the end of October. We'd go back. Beautiful house that is obviously loved by the owners. They had carefully thought out what was needed to made this house a home from home. It was the little touches that made this standout from previous places we have stayed like large bath towels, a practical and very welcome basket of goodies, proper kitchen equipment rather than just a random miRead moresmatch, an airer, washing basket etc, very soft snuggle blankets in the lounge and gorgeous artwork around the house that made it feel loved. The parking was on street but this was not a problem (August). Very good location especially when we found the short cuts across the road that led to the shops and harbour. Definitely visit the ice cream shop that was mentioned in the welcome booklet. The newsagent down the road has lovely staff who are very kind and helpful. They say that Amble is the friendliest port in the north and this is true everyone we met were so lovely and kind making the holiday in Amble memorable. Hide

Had a great stay at Grace Cottage - probably one of the nicest and most well appointed cottage we have ever stayed in. Really, really comfortable.
