Discover the dramatic Northumberland coast from this inviting retreat in Beadnell. Sleeping six guests, and offering dog-friendly accommodation, the three-bedroom cottage is well located for the village’s shops and eateries, as well as the beach, which is less than 1 mile away. Set across a single storey, it is ideal for a family group and features a courtyard garden where you can relax out in the fresh air after your many excursions.
Open the front door and make your way into the hall, where you can shuffle off your walking boots or beach sandals and hang your jackets. Wander on through to the capacious, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you will all immediately feel right at home. Congregate here to unwind together on the large L-shaped sofa in front of the Smart TV. Prepare delicious meals in the stylish kitchen area with the tasty Northumberland produce you have sourced then serve up at the table close by. Open the French doors in this space on warm summer days to bring in a cool breeze. The comfortable bedrooms can all be found off the hall. These include two king-size rooms, each with a TV and one with an en-suite shower room. There is also a bunk bedroom and a family shower room. Unwind out in the courtyard garden on fine days. Have morning coffee or breakfast out here before heading off on your next adventure.
Set off on a 2-mile stroll to the charming fishing village of Seahouses. There is a beach here too, which is popular with swimmers, bodyboarders and kite flyers. Walk another 3 miles along the beautiful beach to Bamburgh, with its striking castle, which famously appeared as Bebbanburg Castle in the long-running TV series The Last Kingdom. There are golf courses at both Seahouses and Bamburgh.
