Offering a view of Bamburgh Castle on the horizon, this magnificent property boasts an unrivalled position for exploring the spectacular Northumberland Coast AONB. The luxurious property is laid out with four guests in mind, ideal for holidaying couples or a small family, and it is dog friendly too. Contemporary design features including high ceilings and French doors allow the space to fill with natural light, whilst encouraging indoor-outdoor living with a wrap-around terrace providing space to sit outdoors in suitable weather. Come rain or shine you can get to know the heritage coastline that surrounds you, enjoying long coastal path walks, wildlife-spotting expeditions and days sunbathing on the pretty beaches.

Find everything laid out on a single-storey with a sociable open-plan living space at its centre. Complete with floor-to-ceiling windows and those almighty views, the lounge/kitchen/diner is the place to be as you start your day or unwind for the evening. The multi-fuel fire in the lounge is a spot to curl up in front of when the weather gets cold, preferably with your favourite film showing on the Smart TV. There’s also an additional TV/DVD in each bedroom for catching up on the day's events whilst enjoying breakfast in bed. The bedrooms both offer king-size beds, and one is furnished with a zip-and-link bed for added versatility. Head through the bi-fold doors to the enclosed decking with a glass railing. Sit here and admire the views of Bamburgh Castle.

Having soaked up the view from your very own outdoor space, take the short journey over to Bamburgh (2 miles) to admire this idyllic seaside village. Visit the beach, enjoy a round of golf by the water’s edge and tour the fascinating RNLI Grace Darling Museum, all before stopping for a bite to eat in a pub. For further adventure, explore the Holy Island and the Farne Islands offshore. Whilst Holy Island can be reached by a causeway (12 miles), you’ll need to take a boat from Seahouses Harbour (5 miles) for Farne Island expeditions.

This property is very comfortable, warm and clean. The welcome packs for the kitchen and the bathrooms are great. It is very well located, only a few minutes drive from Bamburgh and Budle Bay which are our favourite beaches, and pretty close to the A1 for access. There is plenty of space on site to give the dogs a quick walk. Id be happy to return,Read more although the rental cost is on the high side. Hide

Bramble Lodge is perfectly located in a quiet development just outside Bamburgh. The lodge is well equipped, really comfortable and pet friendly. We enjoyed the woodland walk from the door of the lodge with the dog and were able to travel just a couple of miles by car to Bamburgh beach for a run-around. A lovely stay in a beautiful property.

This property is in an ideal location for exploring Bamburgh, Seahouses & The Holy Island. It has spectacular views of the Castle from the window. We loved the outside being enclosed with glass which didn't spoil the view and enabled our cockapoo to sit out and be safe. The property had not been cleaned. Dirty toilets, old newspapers coffee stains on the table and place mats, But the worst thing was no hot water on arrival. We switched the boiler on as instructed but there was no hot water until the next day. It was a shame because its a nice place and tidy on a lot of other aspects.

A wonderful location! Peaceful & relaxing too. Property was lovely but could be made better with more effort from housekeeping. 1. Property/ surrounding pitch black on arrival, not a single light on. 2. Fire not laid & only a single log available ( more found in daylight!) 3. Property was freezing cold on arrival. We had a journey of 5hrs+ due tRead moreo motorway closures/diversions & we were tired. 4. No Welcome pack awaiting us. Again, next day we found various items ( not together) tea bags/coffee/ biscuits. It did feel like we werent expected ???? That said, we had a great time & little effort would be needed to make this stay top notch. Hide

A great week in a lovely property, marked by its high-end finish and presentation and set in a lovely sheltered and quiet location in the old quarry, with wonderful views to the castle at Bamburgh across the glorious rolling fields. A well appointed kitchen, comfortable lounge space and bedrooms, good bathrooms (just lacking floor mats) and a greaRead moret decking area. A lovely place to be and to relax in. Our only problem occurred with the glass gate onto the deck from the car parking area. Being required to support the heavy safety glass of the gate, the hinges for this gate had worked loose from their anchor in the wall. This meant the gate dropped an inch or so, began catching on the decking and being a risk to bare toes, and that the screws holding it to the wall began to come away, bringing pieces of render with them. We stopped using the gate as a result and walked around the longer way instead. We reported the issue to Orginal Cottages who were helpful and a maintenance visit did some repairs (we were out when this took place). We continued to avoid using the gate just in case. This was a relatively minor situation but important nevertheless. Overall, a fine place to spend a week, a great base for exploring coastal Northumberland, and a comfortable home for holidaying in.
