Get to know the vast countryside of the Tyne Valley and eclectic towns and cities in the northeast when staying in this marvellous Northumberland holiday home. Located in the quiet village of Acomb, just 3 miles outside of Hexham, this property invites any larger group to enjoy the relaxing vibe of village life and unwind in exceptional comfort. Family-friendly, the property is set to host up to eight guests and welcomes dogs for those hoping to follow an impressive Hadrian’s Wall walking route with man’s best friend by their side. A highlight of the holiday home is its generously appointed garden, fully enclosed with furniture and awe-inspiring valley views.

Set out over two storeys, this stone-built cottage is generously spaced with more than enough room for everyone. Comfort meets function on the ground floor, with a lounge, a snug and a conservatory presenting spaces to relax and the kitchen/diner, utility room and ground floor WC on hand for all your daily needs. For evenings when the weather doesn’t lend itself to relaxing in the garden (which is enclosed with outdoor furniture and a BBQ), the lounge is the place to be with comfortable seating and a Smart TV. You’ll need to head up to the first floor to find four bedrooms laid out with two en-suite bathrooms as well as a family bathroom to complete the property.

Offering exceptional architecture and a rich local history, nearby Hexham is a fabulous place to visit. Visit the Hexham Old Gaol Museum, admire the view of Hexham Abbey and tour the independent shops and pubs that the town has to offer. There’s also Hexham Racecourse a little further away (5.5 miles), a destination for a day at the races. The town is set deep in the Hadrian's Wall UNESCO World Heritage Site with incredible walking routes on offer close by and is also just a drive away from the city of Newcastle (21 miles).

We were very pleased with Original Cottages. Documentation excellent and communication was outstanding. The property was otherwise. No recent information or recommendations from the owner. The fridge and freezer were switched off when we arrived. No instructions about the oven that was also off. Requests to only use washing machine or dishwasher aRead moret strange times. No rubbish bags or sponges. Tourist leaflets from 2019!!!!! Hide

Excellent location and easy booking system. Many areas of the house to very high specification namely bathrooms kitchen and utility room. I am guessing that over time the rest of the house will be brought up to date in dcor
