We enjoyed our stay at High Mills. It would have been helpful to have had some information on the footpaths adjacent to the property, and also attractions worth visiting in Northumberland.

A spacious retreat suitable for young and old with plenty of space and equipment to keep everyone in the party fully occupied and entertained even in inclement weather. Highly recommend.

Overall the cottage was just what we needed for 6 adults and 3 children. Very spacious lounge downstairs and in the kitchen. Very comfortable beds and shower facilities. The games room was a big hit with everyone and served as a base when the kids wanted some quiet time. Large garden which unfortunately was not used because of the weather.

Huge rooms and great communal spaces for a get together with friends and family. Very cosy house even in October. Lots of tourist attractions nearby if you have a car. We enjoyed Anwick, National Trust property Cragside, visiting various castles and walking on some beautiful beaches. Peaceful location in small hamlet, surrounded by countryside.

A wonderful holiday . Ideal location for lots of places, but you do need a car. The house was spacious, with plenty of room for our party of 8 adults and 2 small children. Very quiet and peaceful with a great outdoor space. The house was very well equipped, very clean, and we had no problems with the tv, or any of the appliances.

It was an ideal location for our group of 6 adults and 2 children. It was good to have car parking for 2 cars and the games room was very popular, particularly the 10 and 7 year old boys.

High Mills is perfect for a large family gathering. Our party of 6 adults and 3 children spent a lovely week there. The bedrooms are comfortable, with two having fabulous views over the countryside. We liked watching the house martins nesting in the eaves too. The living area is huge and with a games room as well there is loads of space. The kitcheRead moren is also very spacious and well-equiped so cooking for the hordes was easy and there was plenty of space for everyone to eat together. The garden is also great for kids to play games. The weather was not great for sitting out so we did not use the outdoor seating much but there was plenty of room to eat outside in better weather. There is so much to do nearby we couldn't do it all and think we will have to go back soon. Hide

Beautifully appointed home lots of space for everyone of all ages. Equipment in all the house was excellent. Outside space very good in an extremely quiet setting, maybe some deckchairs for the garden to enjoy the sunny days?

The cottage was brilliant for our party of two families and a grandparent. Bedroom layout gave us lots of options to work with, really well equipped and lots of entertainment for the kids with a fantastic garden. Our only negative was that all the towels were still wet and the bed linen damp.
