We have stayed in the Coastal Retreats Bradshawgate Cottages for the past few years, so of course our children were devastated that the field was no longer available to play on, and the games room is long gone. There were a few other things missing this time that we have become accustomed to from Coastal Retreats, most notably the lovely welcome Read morebag; also a bbq and access to the toy cupboard. The cottage this time felt quite tired and in need of some maintenance, and the information booklet also requires some updates. Hide

We had a fantastic week in the cottage! We loved exploring Amble, Alnmouth and Walkworth. We spent a great day at Alnwick Castle. The new playground "Lilidori" was excellent. We would highly recommend eating at "the Dirty Bottles". The cottage is very well equipped and very comfortable! We will definitely be coming back.

Lovely well equipped and clean accommodation in a great location with lots to do. Only down side was no welcome package that we have always previously received. Cant wait to stay again.

Driftwood is a very cosy cottage with lots of fun and games. You could go to Dunstinbrough Castle or Bamburgh beach. I enjoyed coasteering but at the end of it we were all freezing because of the wind! When we all go home we all played games like: domino's, top trumps, chess, jenga and a jigsaw shark that can stand by itself. There were two beanbagRead mores, and armchair and two sofa's. When my cousins came over we all played hide and seek. Driftwood is such an amazing place for people of all ages. Hide

Stayed here for a golf trip. We found the cottage very comfortable and well-equipped. We found the golf course very challenging so it was lovely to relax here in the evening. We got a taxi into Craster on evening and ate at The Jolly Fisherman and we would recommend that dining experience! We'd all like to return here sometime in the future.

We booked fairly last minute and we are so lucky we've had a chance to visit the cottage. It's beautiful with everything included in what you would expect in a home-from-home. We have been extremley lucky with the weather and the beaches locally are just beautiful. We flew broomsticks at Alnwick Castle and raced the tide at Lindisfarne. We will deRead morefinitely be back! Gorgeous little cottage with great facilities and lots of lovely details. We love this area and visit regularly. We love the Potted Lobster and the newly renovated Black Swan in Seahouses. Our children loved our days on the beach and crabbing at both Ctaster & Beadnell. On a rare rainy day we loved Bamburgh Castle and a trip to Barter Books in AlnRead morewick. Don't forget to take a trip to Joiners Arms in High Newton. Hide

We had a really lovely stay- pop out to enjoy the sunset from the communal garden and enjoy the dark skies. Beadnell beach was glorious and we loved our walk from Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle. Just need to come back again for a kipper bun!
