Modern, clean and well equipped. Ideal central location. Felt like a dolls house when we first looked around. Hopefully the owners have now addressed the front door lock, clearly a problem for a while and stress we didn't need. A heads up for anyone with mobility issues, the bathroom is on the ground floor so if you need the loo in the middle of Read morethe night you have a trek downstairs. The little garden is delightful, a lovely place to sit and relax. Overall this lovely little cottage gets a thumbs up from us. Hide

A great little cottage in a fantastic location. One of the best equipped places we have stayed, lots of plates, cups etc (some places are very stingy with this) even a coffee machine. Cottage was immaculate. Clearly a recent total renovation . Stairway was steep and narrow with a tight bend, so would not suit everyone. There was no problem with street parking. Would be very happy to return.

A very comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage to explore the Northumbrian coast. We discovered the footpath from North Lane to the sea by accident and it would be great if there was a book in the cottage, where one could leave hints like this for future guests.
