Escape to the coast in this bright and breezy apartment in the centre of Seahouses. The property sleeps four guests and is perfect for couples and small families looking to explore this unspoilt fishing village, and the surrounding coast and countryside. You’ll be within easy reach of Northumberland highlights such as Bamburgh Castle (3 miles) and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne (18.5 miles), as well as Northumberland National Park (19 miles).

Enter the shared entrance hall – a handy spot for storing outdoor gear – and climb the stairs to the contemporary, first-floor apartment. Spend time in the comfortable lounge area, reading a book, watching the Smart TV, or admiring the sea views, or try out new recipes in the sleek kitchen. Completing this sociable space is a dining table, for sharing mealtimes together. The two elegant bedrooms, one king-size and one twin, have relaxing decor and beautiful wooden furniture, providing a tranquil haven in which to unwind at the end of the day. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite shower room, and there’s also a family bathroom. The apartment has no outdoor space, but with the harbour on your doorstep and coastal walks nearby, you’ll have ample opportunities to stretch your legs and fill your lungs with sea air.

You’ll find an excellent array of shops and eateries within a 150-metre radius of the property, and the village’s bustling harbour is just 500 metres away. Here, you can watch the fishing boats going about their day, or join one of the boat trips to the Farne Islands, to visit the resident seals and puffins. Seahouses has a long, sandy beach, and this can be found less than 1 mile away. Heading south, the historic market town of Alnwick (16.5 miles) is well worth a visit, with its magnificent castle, cobbled streets, and open-air markets.

Comfortable property in a good location. It's not a large propert but we found it perfectly adequate for our needs. One member of our group had an issue with her bed collapsing but we reported the problem to the Original Cottages office next door. One thing would have been really useful - an oven glove! Excellent apartment in a great location. Apartment very clean but some attention to the entrance hall needed. Floor dirty and dusty, dead spiders on the shelves and ceilings. Would definitely recommend.

We were very pleased with the apartment. Very comfortable and everything for our needs. Our only slight complaint we had a leek from the towel rail in the bathroom which we reported and one of the shower doors in the en suite came off which was reported however it wasnt repaired during our stay so we had to share the bathroom for showers which wasRead morent always convenient. however this said it didnt effect our holiday but it would have been nice to have had our own shower to use Hide

A lovely, clean, comfortable apartment, beautifully situated. The parking permit was very useful. The welcome pack was a nice touch. All the staff I met were pleasant and helpful. A few things could have been better: we would have liked a measuring jug and a casserole dish (there were lots of glasses, mugs, plates and dishes, but fewer more basic tRead morehings; there was a brush, but no dust pan; I had to empty the Hoover as it was clogged; instructions for electrical equipment were either missing or in various foreign languages). The position of the apartment was even better than the info led us to believe. We really enjoyed our week, thank you, and hope we left the apartment clean and tidy. Thanks again. Hide
