This charming coastal cottage is less than 1 mile from the vibrant fishing village of Seahouses. The cottage is perfectly placed for exhilarating coastal walks, with stunning routes leading from the village to Bamburgh (3.5 miles north) and Beadnell Bay (3.5 miles south). If it’s peace and tranquillity you’re after, enjoy a day trip to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, 18.5 miles away. In the evenings, dine alfresco in the colourful garden.

The end-of-terrace cottage has been beautifully decorated and furnished, with a subtle coastal theme and homely touches throughout. The tranquil lounge is a delightful place to unwind after a day of exploring, with a choice of comfortable seating and a warming wood burner to snuggle up in front of on a chilly evening. The farmhouse-style kitchen/diner has ample equipment and worktop space to cater for the group, as well as an elegant glass dining table for sharing mealtimes together. The three gorgeous bedrooms are upstairs: one king-size, one twin, and a bunk bedroom that’s ideal for children. A sleek family bathroom completes the accommodation. The enclosed garden is bursting with colour, thanks to a collection of fabulous plants and flowers. An elevated patio overlooks the garden, with furniture for al fresco dining.

Seahouses is less than 1 mile away. This picturesque fishing village boasts a bustling harbour, as well as independent stores, and several popular fish and chip shops. From the harbour, boat trips regularly depart to the Farne Islands, giving you the opportunity to admire the spectacular wildlife, including puffins, that inhabit these stunning islands. Heading north along the coast, you’ll soon reach the coastal village of Bamburgh, known for its magnificent clifftop castle, picture-postcard beach, and cute boutiques and coffee shops.

Definitely recommend this property. 5-10 minute walk to Seahouses village and the seafront and 15 minute walk from an amazing beach. The house had everything we needed. The weather was terrible at times as you expect in April, but the log burner along with the radiators made the house lovely and warm. The Garden is lovely and its a shame we couldn'Read moret enjoy it more due to the weather. This is a really good base to visit lots of attractions in the area. We were a family of 2 adults, 3 children & a dog. The property is plenty big enough. We could park right outside the property which was ideal. The owners left a binder with useful information in, and it was really useful, pointing us to local attractions, pubs and walks. We would definitely use this property again. Hide

We were very happy overall. Well equipped and very comfortable. The location was great too with the beach only 10 minutes walk away and handy local shops. A lovely base from which to explore Northumberland. Also we found that there was quite a bit of condensation inside upstairs and one problem might be that the bathroom fan did not work. Overall though we had a great stay and a memorable Christmas. Nook Cottage in Seahouses was a real gem. The whole house was beautifully decorated and everything you could possibly need was there and comfy beds. It also has a stunning dog proof garden which catches the sun and very quiet. Seahouses shopping area and a good beach are within a 15 to 20 minute walk.
