The stone cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished in calm, neutral tones. The bright lounge has a range of plump sofas set around a cosy wood burner and a Smart TV – the perfect place for a movie night with the family. This room opens into a large kitchen/diner, where you can create delicious feasts for the group and dine together at the table overlooking the garden. In summer, throw open the French doors to further extend the social space. Upstairs, four elegant bedrooms await: three king-size bedrooms, two of which have en-suite shower rooms, and one zip-and-link twin which can be made up as a king-size on request. A sleek family bathroom rounds off this inviting holiday home. Outside, you’ll find an enclosed, south-facing garden with a patio for al fresco dining and a large lawn where children can play.
The colourful fishing village of Seahouses (5 miles) is well worth a visit during your stay. Potter around its bustling harbour and perhaps hop on a boat to visit the wildlife haven of the Farne Islands, known for their puffins and grey seals. The village is also renowned for its delicious fish and chips. For a day at the beach, head to the beautiful, sandy shores of Beadnell Bay (7 miles). This horseshoe-shaped, natural harbour is a popular spot for bathing, as well as a plethora of water sports. You’ll also find some stunning coastal walks branching away from the beach.
