Prepare for a wonderful Northumberland holiday at this semi-detached home behind the sand dunes of picturesque Beadnell Bay. The beach’s golden sands (200 metres) are ideal for both relaxed sandcastle building and exciting water sports such as kitesurfing and stand-up paddleboarding, and after a fun-filled day at the beach, you can unwind in the village's inviting restaurants and pubs (0.5 miles). The property sleeps five over its three bedrooms, so is perfect for a family holiday or trip with friends.

You’ll enter a hallway where you can leave coats and shoes before stepping into the light-filled lounge/dining room, which has windows at both ends. When you’ve been out walking all day, you’ll love lighting the open fire and sinking into one of the comfy sofas for an hour or two of TV. Tuck into family meals at the large dining table prepared in the separate, well-equipped kitchen, which has everything needed to whip up hearty breakfasts and picnic lunches. Then head up to bed in one of the property’s three first-floor bedrooms. In good weather, the enclosed garden will come into its own, with its outdoor furniture and BBQ. It’s perfect for children and dogs to run around while the adults chat over a couple of beers or a pot of tea.

You’re in luck if you like castles – you’ll have the renowned Bamburgh Castle within 6 miles, while Dunstanburgh Castle is 8 miles south. Both have fantastic coastal locations. From Dunstanburgh, enjoy a family-friendly clifftop walk to Craster (9 miles), home to the famous Craster kippers. The bustling market town of Alnwick (13.5 miles) offers an abundance of pubs and shops, along with one of Europe's largest second-hand bookshops. A trip to its castle is a must for any Harry Potter enthusiasts, since it featured in the films.

We really liked this property. We appreciated being able to park right beside the back door and we found the enclosed garden essential for our small dog. The interior was spotless and we found the beds very comfortable. We had everything we needed but the best thing was the very close proximity to the amazing Beadnell beach. Had a fantastic stay, slightly marred by the lack of BBQ which was advertised as included. Frustrating as I could have brought my portable one.

Great base for travelling around, Chris the owner, was very helpful when we had to delay our trip by a day but we didn't cancel the shopping delivery! We've had a great week- our first time being in the area- would definitely recommend! Thank you Chris for being so understanding! The Landing is top notch for a full English!

We've had a fantastic 2 weeks. Very lucky with the weather. Thank you for the prosecco we opened to celebrate the lioness's win. Beaches are fantastic & can highly recommend Carters Butchers at Bamburgh. We're lucky to see lots of Dolphins at Craster one evening. Thank you for such a great base for our holiday.

Minor points only - beds comfortable but too low for the elderly arthritic, fridge a little smelly.
