This charming seaside property provides couples and small families with the perfect base from which to explore the stunning Northumberland coast. Start your seaside holiday by taking a short walk to Seahouses harbour where you can hop on a boat and take a trip around the Farne Islands and catch sight of the seals, puffins and dolphins. The village also offers ample places to drink and dine, and is renowned for its first-rate fish and chips. Northumberland is a history lover’s dream with an array of castles and historical places of interest on the doorstep. Just 4 miles away is Bamburgh with its imposing hilltop castle, whilst Dunstanburgh Castle is an easy 10-mile drive. Once there, take the family-friendly clifftop walk to Craster and sample the famous Craster kippers. For an unforgettable day out, take the 17-mile drive then cross the causeway (when it’s safe to do so!) to Holy Island. This tidal island is steeped in history with an ancient priory and castle as well as an abundance of shops and cafes to enjoy.

Enter this lovely property into the cosy lounge area, an elegantly styled room with comfortable furnishings and charming nautical touches. In the cooler weather, gather in front of the electric feature fire or relax after a busy day in front of the property’s TV. You’ll also find a light and airy kitchen/diner which has everything you need to rustle up a meal which can be enjoyed at the dining table with seating for four. During the summer months, open the doors from the kitchen and enjoy a morning coffee in the enclosed garden. Stairs from the lounge lead to the first floor and the property’s two well-appointed bedrooms. Bedroom one offers a king-size bed and fitted wardrobes. The second bedroom is a comfortable double room, and there is also a modern bathroom.

Outside, relax in the sunshine in the enclosed garden.

Cottage very cosy and comfortable, well equipped. A couple of small niggles with shower head and lumpy pillows. Overall, a great place to stay.

The property was very cramped, you had not set the property up as a twin second bedroom though I had asked 3 times, no oven gloves, the remote control would not operate 90% of the time, changed batteries and it was still not working.. See your comments from previous guests re the beds really poor mattresses they need changing. What you were goodRead more at is trying to fix problems after we arrived, like providing oven gloves. Puffins Nest was perfectly located. It was very well equipped including for our 18 month old. We managed to get two cars on the driveway on what was advertised as a singe car driveway. It felt cosy and the owners have cleanly gone above and beyond to make Puffins Nest feel like a home away from homes.

The double bed needs a new mattress and duvet covers that fir properly, it was too big with lots of sheet with no duvet in it. The other bedroom looked in the picture like it was a double bed but was 2 singles. This room was the biggest but only had a narrow chest of drawers and bedside table, the wardrobe had a load of other stuff in it so my daugRead morehter didn't use it. There wasn't really any where to put toiletries in the bathroom. Apart from that it is a lovely cost place to stay and very convenient for getting around to where we wanted to go. Hide
