Stay in this traditional English country cottage for a memorable and relaxing break in the tranquil Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Up to four guests can stay in this bright property with a shared games room, which is set on 0.75 acres of land. Fill your time away with long, scenic walks, dips in the sea and visits to the local pubs and historic landmarks.

You’ll feel the character and charm of this single-storey cottage from the moment you step inside – with its flagstone flooring, sash windows and antique-style furnishings. Settle in for a cosy movie night in the neutral-toned lounge with soft furnishings. Warm your toes in front of the open fire while relaxing on one of the two plump sofas. Continue into the airy kitchen, with plenty of neutral light pouring in through the large windows onto the farmhouse-style fitted units. Completing the interior is a family bathroom and two bedrooms – a double and a twin. Outside, you’ll find a shared games room and a private garden with furniture, a BBQ and a paved area.

During your stay in Spindlestone, you’ll be 1.5 miles from the picturesque Budle Bay where you can enjoy some bird watching and stroll around the sandy shores. Head north to reach the secluded Ross Sands beach (5.5 miles) and Holy Island – which is accessible at low tide via the causeway (11 miles) and is home to a castle and heritage centre. Spend an afternoon exploring Bamburgh Castle (3 miles) before visiting the local tearooms and relaxing on the beach.

Visited with my elderly father and brother. Father has mobility issues so place was perfect all round. Welcome pack amazing, with loads of items and vouchers, gem of a place, pics on line didnt do it justice.

Great cottage, close to beaches, great welcome pack with good supply of essentials and luxury extras. Had a great week exploring surrounding area then relaxing in the cottage on an evening.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Every piece of equipment you could need, though a washing line would have been helpful for dog towels. Also, we were afraid we would damage the furniture with cups, so some coasters would have been helpful. But those are petty quibbles that didnt detract from our enjoyment

We really enjoyed our week at Spindlestone Cottage. A little remote from things like pubs, restaurants and shops perhaps, but that was what we wanted. And it was only a few minutes drive to Seahouses to get any thing we wanted. Fabulous scenery, beaches and walks around the area.

The cottage is very comfortable and roomy. It's in a lovely position. Beds comfy. Shower brilliant. Goody bag lovely. Lots of places to take my dog. We really enjoyed our week thank you.
