Escape to the coast and fill your time with long, scenic walks, water sports and trips to the nearby quaint villages. Settle into this crisp and bright, traditional bungalow which backs onto Beadnell Bay Beach for a memorable break with a group of up to seven other guests.

As you enter the cottage, you’ll find yourself in a warm and welcoming open-plan lounge/diner with an eye-catching original fireplace with an open fire. Wooden furnishings create an elegant and traditional feel. A skylight in the kitchen keeps it bright and airy while cooking a special homemade dinner for your guests. Choose from four lovingly decorated bedrooms – a king-size with an open en-suite, two doubles and a bunk bedroom. There is also a family bathroom with brightly coloured wood panelling. Outside, you’ll find an enclosed south-west-facing garden with a patio, lawn, furniture and a BBQ.

Open the gate in the garden and step straight onto the windswept dunes of Beadnell Bay Beach (less than 200 metres). Start your day with a splash in the sea before strolling along the Beadnell Bay Sand Dunes to reach the Long Nanny Beadnell Bay Bird Sanctuary (2 miles). Visit the nearby village of Seahouses (2.5 miles), where you can catch a boat to the Farne Islands – where you can spot puffins at the rookery. You’ll also be just 9.5 miles from the dramatic ruins of the 14th-century Dunstanburgh Castle and the historic Queen Margaret’s Cove (9 miles).

Fabulous cottage for a family holiday. Plenty of space and large garden with access to the dunes. Very quiet but central location. The dog and grandchildren loved it.

Lovely setting and garden. Cooker was old and didn't have clear labels for hob rings There wasn't an arrival property manual with all useful info - eg. bin/recycling info, WiFi info, equipment info Bathrooms were poor, showers were unreliable and scaled, bath silicone had massive crack - need refurbishment Strange set up with a door to hallwayRead more slamming and blocking the kids bedroom when open Poor road access - massive pot holes and puddles to drive through Hide

Enjoyed a fantastic week staying in this well placed cottage to explore the Northumberland coast. The cottage had everything we needed in utensils, pans etc for cooking (8 people) there was also some tea-bags, cooking oil, salt and pepper. The cottage was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. Shower over the bath in the en-suite. Mixer tap sRead morehower in the main bathroom. Lots of space in the garden for playing games etc. plus there are balls and tennis racquets in the shed. There are also board games, jigsaws, felt tips, childrens books and paper. Couple of minutes walk to Beadnell bay via the sand dunes. We will definitely book again. Hide

We have stayed here previously & love the property, location etc. The bathrooms need a little updating now & its becoming apparent that there are a few areas which require some tlc . Otherwise Sandycott is a superb holiday home in a very special part of the world

Generally the property was fine if a little dated and I believe 8 people would struggle in the space. small issues like the sink in the en-suite has a broken plug mechanism and generally no instructions re bins etc Small things but important and did not spoil our stay
