Set in the picturesque seaside village of Beadnell, this fabulous couple’s escape offers comfort, style and plenty of space in which to switch off and relax. And whether you fancy water sports, boat trips, superb seafood or a night at the local pub, everything is within easy reach.

You’ll access this first-floor apartment via a shared door and internal staircase, then enter your new home from home, where the open-plan living area is cosy and inviting. After cooking something delicious – perhaps some local seafood – in the well-equipped kitchen, stretch out on the comfy sofas with some music, a good book or the TV. When you feel tired, head over to the double bedroom, another welcoming space which boasts a TV, ample storage and an en-suite shower room, plus a window overlooking the shared courtyard. This lovely outdoor space is a great spot in which to enjoy a morning cuppa or a sundowner, perhaps chatting with other guests staying at the small complex. You also have access to a shared utility room with laundry facilities.

Stroll 500 metres and you can be at the wonderful Beadnell Bay Beach, ready to swim, sail or try some water sports. The village itself boasts a few shops, some quality eateries (one is just 200m from your apartment) and a west-facing harbour, perfect for watching the sunset. In Seahouses (2 miles), there are a variety of shops and places to eat and drink, including a renowned fish smokehouse, plus another fabulous beach. A must-do while in the area is a boat trip from Seahouses harbour to see the puffins of the Farne Islands. Foodies will want to head to Craster, 8.5 miles, to try their famous kippers, while lovers of history will want to see the castles at Bamburgh, 5.5 miles, and Alnwick, 13 miles.

The flat was situated in the picturesque village of Beadnell, right next to the pub offering local beers and good food, and not far from stunning beaches. It was a good base to explore from. The flat itself was very comfortable and well equipped and we enjoyed our time staying there.

Perfect accommodation in lovely area. Close to all amenities but very quiet and restful. We will return but book a ground floor apartment as we would have liked to sit outside with our little dog Mabel.

The outside space at this property is not really user friendly being 2 picnic tables downstairs in a communal courtyard. The hot water in the kitchen wasn't very hot and there were no scissors. The usual standard issue hard matress. The shower was excellent. Beadnell itself is really nice, however, eating out is prohibitively expensive so as a resuRead morelt we didn't do this as much as if it had been more reasonable. Hide

Good spacious apartment located on first floor. Access is via central located door to stairwell. Well decorated and mostly clean. Furniture is very nice and comfortable. Kitchen fitted out with all appliances required for a self catering holiday. Bedroom is a good size with storage for clothes. Clean linen and enough towels. Cleaning products for yRead moreour stay are supplied with enough to last your stay. Bathroom very nice with excellent shower cubicle. Really enjoyed our stay but for us the apartment had a few issues. * Unable to lock bathroom window as sash window does not go fully down in order to secure the catch. Although its located on the first floor it is still a security issue. * Shower drain needs a good clean and flush. Plug hole had black mould under the cover and water doesnt drain quick enough leaving you standing in a puddle while it slowly drains. * No storage for vacuum cleaner so its kept in the bedroom wardrobe. This limits the amount of room to store clothes. Broken hanging bar in wardrobe needs repairing. Bottom of the wardrobe was covered in a layer of dust and the vacuum smelled . Didnt appear to be emptied from previous use and filters had not been cleaned for some time. When the vacuum was used the smell was quite bad. * Although apartment was clean and tidy certain areas appear to have been ignored. The top of nearly all the sash windows were black from dust and mould and could do with a good clean. It appears that cleaning is a bit of a lick and promise and not properly checked before new arrivals. * Could only find one mug upon arrival but next day we found the dishwasher hadnt been emptied and the other mugs/ cups/plates and glasses we still in there. * There are blinds in the bedroom as with the living area. The apartment could do with curtains especially the bedroom as the blinds alone dont keep daylight out and its quite bright early mornings. * Although information was very good prior to arrival there is a lack of it actually in the apartment. Some literature regarding operation of appliances were found stuffed in a top cupboard. This should be placed in a folder that is clearly visible upon arrival. Also it would be helpful to include a small map of the area highlighting things like shops, restaurants, pubs, beach etc. Also, nearby facilities including takeaways and local attractions. Also, as the apartment is pet friendly the location and contact details of a nearest vet would be helpful. * Arrival and departure times are not very conducive in making it a relaxing experience . I cannot see why you have to vacate by 09.00 and not arrive before 17.00! Many other apartments in the village and elsewhere give you a more relaxed timeframe. I cannot see that it takes a window of 8 hours from people leaving to the new arrivals in order to prepare the apartment when visitors are asked to leave it clean and tidy upon departure! Overall we enjoyed our stay but were disappointed with minor issues that should not of been there if the apartment had been properly checked and things rectified before our arrival! Hide
