This elegant holiday destination is bright, spacious and beautifully decorated. Sitting close to the impressive Bamburgh Castle, it’s in a perfect position for friends or families to enjoy a special getaway together, exploring the beaches, villages and heritage sites of this fascinating area.
Step through the gate and along the path to the front door of this impressive stone cottage, where you’ll find two steps up to the front door. Once inside, enjoy relaxing in the stunning lounge, gathering around the multi-fuel stove to stretch out on the long sofas and enjoy the TV, a DVD or some music on the CD player. If anyone feels like a quieter time, there’s also a snug with comfortable seating, ideal for settling down with a book for an hour or two. This is also a great place for a morning coffee, while the main dining area is in the conservatory, where there’s a table for six and lovely views of the garden. The kitchen is equipped with all you’ll need to prepare delicious meals. When it’s time for bed, head upstairs to find three pretty bedrooms, all sharing a large shower room. The cottage’s huge garden is the place to be on a warm, sunny day, with loungers and dining furniture on the patio and an extensive, well-maintained lawn on which children will love to run and play.
With the splendid castle at its heart, Bamburgh has much to offer, including tucked-away places to eat, a wonderful beach and a coastal position within the county’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Walk the coast path and you’re likely to spot a variety of wildlife, from seals to seabirds, and if you book a boat trip from Seahouses, 2.5 miles, you can look out for the puffins of the famous Farne Islands.
