Property details said 2 bathrooms - there were 2 loos and 1 shower room - no bath. Not good with a 4 year old and a 10 month old in our party. The oven door was broken on our arrival. Housekeeping details were 2 years out of date and the property information file given was not for Original Cottages. Eventually managed to report the problem to the oRead moreffice in Seahouses for the Company whose details were in the house. The problem was fixed temporarily. Downstairs space was great - the 2 twin rooms upstairs were cramped. One bedroom door wouldnt close as it was blocked by a bed. No hanging storage in either room. The property would be wonderful for a family of two adults with older children, but it was not ideal for 4 adults and two young children. Provision of staples like loo rolls, kitchen roll and washing machine detergent was not adequate and we had to buy more when we were there. Having said all of that, the house is in a lovely spot and the downstairs space could not have been better. Hide

This a lovely property in an ideal location with a breathtakingly view of the castle. A well equipped kitchen that makes it really easy to cook for the family and friends. Enclosed large back garden ideal for the dogs to play with the kids in a safe environment.

Only marked down because of the broken upstairs loo (it was unusable when we arrived and no note left on what was happening). I contacted the owner who replied but still not repaired). Also the hot water and heating was turned off on arrival, not particularly welcoming. It was a cold day and whilst I understand no heating being programmed, I do thRead moreink hot water should have been. Other than that, the cottage was lovely and excellent position for the beach. Ideal for dogs too - the garden was well enclosed. Hide

Overall the property was fine but I felt it was poor for us to arrive and find the upstairs toilet flush broken with no note of apology or explanation.

We have booked cottages with you a number of times and they have always been exactly as described on your website. The cottages you offer allways seem to be of a high standard and in fantastic locations.
