It features a cosy wood burner, and is within easy reach of shops and places to eat. It’s a great choice for a coastal getaway for groups of up to six people.

This lovely holiday home has a reverse-level design so that you can make the most of the sea views from the upstairs living space. On the ground floor you’ll find two sweet bedrooms, a double and a twin, sharing a shower room. Head upstairs to find the third bedroom, another double, with an en-suite bathroom. The star of the show is the L-shaped, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Here, the high, apex ceiling with large skylights provides a bright and airy feel, and the dramatic focal point is the stone-faced fireplace which boasts a large wood burner – perfect for warming up after a swim in the sea or a day in the great outdoors. The sleek kitchen has all mod cons (including a wine cooler) for conjuring up delicious dinners, and the dining table is adjacent, with a fabulous view. After supper, stroll across to the sofas and snuggle down, perhaps with some music or a programme on the TV.

Set within the quiet conservation area of Seahouses, the cottage is just 0.5 miles from shops, pubs and places to eat. Stroll along the beach or coast path – this is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you may spot seals, dolphins, puffins and other wildlife – or take a boat out to the Farne Islands, an important bird sanctuary. The impressive Bamburgh Castle is just 3 miles, and Alnwick Castle, aka Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films, is 15 miles.

Harbour Lights House is a beautiful property with lovely sea views and all amenities. My family really enjoyed the facilities and our stay there. My grandchildren who are 8 and 10 particularly loved having their own television in their bedroom. Their other highlight was the close proximity to the beaches. We had 2 cars and unfortunately getting stRead morereet parking for one car and manouvering the car out of the property due to parked cars was the only tricky bit of the holiday. Perfect size and location for a family of four adults. Car essential, although the roads/parking are very narrow and there was a lot of to-Nig and fro-ing to access the parking space. Everything we needed was provided and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were a bonus - 3 loos and fantastic mirrors! Lovely views and sounds of the sea. Great location in a lovely harbour setting ,very nice all round property, comfortable and clean . A couple of issues were... seating for 4 people was difficult when watching tv due to the layout of the seating and we could not find the downstairs hall light or any signs of the Alarm, supposedly fitted in the house.

The property was very comfortable and in an excellent location. I have marked down re equipment as the only long mirror is at the back of a cupboard door and you can't use it due to the bedside tables. Having 3 women in the house a full length mirror is essential. Regarding cleanliness the ensuite bathroom could have been cleaner particularly the pRead morelastic seal along the bottom f the shower screen . This can be removed easily and cleaned but hadn't been. Regarding comfort , as a party of 6 adults we couldn't all sit on the sofas together, 2 of us had to use the dining chairs. The TV is also positioned so that it can only really be viewed from one of the sofas. Overall though we had a great week and would use again but not for 6 adults. Hide

Only one key As cars are parked directly opposite entrance difficult to park, quite tight Bit rude to ask us to clean considering how much the booking cost

Excellent property high standard of finish. Has everything you need. Great location too. Only downside possibly a little over priced but was a Christmas present so didn't mind.

Hi the property was very nice but there are only two 2 seater sofas for 6 people which was a bit disappointing and there is no mop to give the kitchen floor a clean and no brush and dustpan to clean the sand up near the front door as the vacuum wouldnt pick it up so we had to leave it

Lovely location and the holiday cottage was modern, clean and well equipped. Would have scored higher but couldnt find the alarm and bathroom door and mirror light needs attention.

The cottage exceeded expectations and was even more lovely than the photos. Well equipped, plenty of room for our 4 adults and 2 teenagers. Great location in Seahouses, close to everything and was easy to find on the satnav, with its own parking. This was for my mum's birthday, we came to Seahouses to see the puffins on the Farne Islands. Harbour LRead moreights House was the perfect base. Hide
