Property code: OC-GD0274

Enjoy a seaside escape at this pretty, family-friendly retreat, in an amazing spot just metres from the seafront in Seahouses – there are lots of things to see and do locally. It’s also in a great location for exploring the Northumberland coast, before coming back and relaxing beside the wood burner inside or outside on the patio with a drink.

Sitting in the old town area, the cottage is warm and homely with stylish interiors and a welcoming feel. Go into the comfy lounge/diner, kick back and relax in front of the wood burner and watch TV. You can enjoy sociable mealtimes at the dining table or grab a quick bite to eat at the breakfast bar in the kitchen and after dinner, head to bed in the three pretty bedrooms upstairs. There is a lovely double room with an ornamental fireplace, a sweet twin bedroom where you can lie in bed and watch TV or a great film, and a cute single room. There’s also a family bathroom on the first floor where you can have a long soak in the bath and quick showers to start your day. On warm evenings, end the day sitting outside on the patio with a glass of something chilled as the sun goes down.

Wander to the waterfront, just over 150 metres from the front door, and pop to the working harbour where you can book a boat trip to the Farne Islands, which has incredible wildlife, including dolphins, seals, and puffins. Explore the narrow streets to discover the town’s fantastic pubs and seafood restaurants, cafes, and shops, and discover the impressive castle looking out across the sea at Bamburgh (3.5 miles). You can walk there along the sand from Seahouses Beach (3 miles), and you’ll find lots of pretty walking trails along the Northumberland Heritage Coast in both directions.

3 generations had a good time at the cottage, enough space but cosy and the seating area by the back door was a bonus in the afternoon sunshine

Really comfortable beds, tastefully and simply decorated, liked the local pictures and ornaments, great location for boat trips. Were regulars on the benches overlooking the harbour with a cuppa made at the property.

Nice property in a good location - though parking can be a bit awkward - it was ideal for our short stay.

The cottage was nice but very small for 5 adults. The main problem was the parking outside the cottage as there has never been a space for us. There is a problem of damp and smell of damp in the sitting room and in the twin bedroom. Electrical cooker and oven very old and smelled of fish. There were not instructions on how to organize the rubbish, Read moreespecially the glass. Overall the cottage was expensive considering what was offered and the office did never reply to us eithet on the telephone or on the email. Hide

Lovely cottage with a lot of extras. Kitchen utensils, few bits in stock cupboard and board games all not expected. A lot of the cottage is tired and could do with some paint Cottage nicely situated along top, over looks harbour if look window.

Location is great, close to everything. Seahouses is lovely. However, the property had insufficient room to park our estate car and nowhere suitable nearby.

Lovely cottage, a little tired inside, feels as if it needs repainting now. Parking - instructions were to park outside the front door - which one would assume was on the street. Alas it is at the back of the house through a very tight 'tunnel archway' so if you have a largish car this is very tight to get in and once in the courtyard area there arRead moree other cars parked from the neighbouring cottages Hide

Lovely property in a great location close to the harbour, pubs and shops but away from the busiest areas. The cottage was well furnished, very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and the fabulous beaches that Northumbria has and we have stayed in Seahouses many times, it never disappoints.
