Take your nearest and dearest away to this wonderful seaside cottage on the edge of the small village of Beadnell, where you can wander straight from the garden to Beadnell Bay Beach. The family-friendly property is all on one level, with a gorgeous open-plan living area and a lovely, enclosed garden with a BBQ.

The bungalow is light and bright, with welcoming interiors and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Go into the open-plan living area, where you can curl up on a sofa with a good book in front of the open fire, enjoy the views towards the sea, and watch a great movie. Cook delicious meals in the kitchen and enjoy them together at the dining table, before heading to bed in the three pretty bedrooms: a super-king-size room, a double with a handy en-suite shower room, and a bunk room for the kids. There’s also a family bathroom where you can relax with a long soak or a quick shower. Outside, there’s loads of space for the kids to play in the enclosed garden, with a large lawn and patio where you can sit and enjoy a few drinks, light the BBQ, dine alfresco, and create great wonderful holiday memories under the stars.

Walk from the garden through the sand dunes to the beach, just over 150 metres away, for a leisurely wander or a refreshing dip. Head into Beadnell to visit the pubs, cafes and village shops, and pop to Seahouses (2 miles) on the coast, where there are several places to eat out and a working harbour where you can book a boat trip to the wildlife-rich Farne Islands. Bamburgh (5 miles) and Alnwick (13 miles) are within easy reach; both have impressive castles with wonderful histories to discover.

The property was spotlessly clean. It was warm and cozy. The garden is flat and great for a dog to sniff around. The gate to the dunes and beach makes a lovely walk even better as no car journey involved. We had a very peaceful time and only really ventured to the shops in alnwick and back. A really well equipped property in a great location . Beadnell is a lovely place to stay. Would recommend Dunes Cottage.

Everything was as it should be. The one thing I do find disturbing is that when stripping the beds the Protectors are to be left in place!

Overall everything was very good. A couple of small suggestions for the property - a waste bin in the en suite bathroom; check light bulbs on changeover day And clarity on towels provision as we were told to bring our own yet towels were there!
