Head into the sociable open-plan living space with a kitchen, lounge and dining room – perfect for cooking and enjoying meals together, catching up, and watching your favourite Netflix show. Take a good book and relax in the second lounge, with another Smart TV and a cosy wood burner, or in the orangery, which has bi-fold doors to combine inside and outside, with views of the Cheviots. Get a good night’s sleep in the four pretty bedrooms (all have Smart TVs): two doubles, one with an en-suite bathroom, a twin zip-and-link which can be made into a super-king-size on request, and a single room with a trundle bed for children. There are also two shower rooms and a separate WC. Outside, you’ll find places to sit and enjoy the sunshine; fire up the BBQ and enjoy memorable evenings.
Walk across the fields to Bamburgh (1 mile) to visit the castle, an impressive fortress looking out over the North Sea, with a fascinating history. Wander along Bamburgh Beach (1.5 miles), and visit the town’s pubs, shops, and restaurants. Explore the pretty seaside village of Seahouses (3.5 miles) where you can catch a boat to the Farne Islands from the harbour to explore Longstone Lighthouse where famous former resident Grace Darling lived and worked, then pop to the museum in town to find out more about the local heroine.
