Although this cottage is well placed in a brilliant location in the village, it is let down by an old, tired mattress on the double bed and a similarly old, tired sofa. The quality of our sleep was significantly impacted and the ability to relax in the evening was made even more difficult by the fact that the sofa is a two seater, plus there's onlyRead more one armchair, so for a family of four there just isn't enough seating to relax properly. We resorted to bringing in a kitchen chair in the end which we really shouldn't have needed to do. The very central location and lovely outdoor space are the positives, plus equipment-wise we had everything we needed to cook as a family, but sadly we wouldn't feel able to return as it just didn't offer the comfort we need. A well equipped and well located cottage, comfy beds, plenty of space for clothes. Good parking. Locals very friendly. Easy walks to Sea houses, buses for further afield. Local store had most items, although Seahouses also has a co op.

A nice comfortable cottage in an excellent location for dog lovers. Beadnell has a few good eating places and a pub, which are all dog friendly. Beaches and the coastal path are close-by for some great walks.

This cottage is a little gem - perfectly situated for village amenities, but quiet and peaceful. Impressively furnished, comfortable and very clean. The enclosed courtyard garden was a treat, and a great little sun trap. Lots of thoughtful touches, especially in the lower drawers in the kitchen - from spare dog bags through batteries to replacementRead more light pull cords - they're all there! We would definitely like to return and happily recommend Cuthbert's Cottage. Thank you so much for a lovely holiday. Hide

We had a wonderful stay in this homely, comfortable cottage. It offered us everything we needed and more, for a seamless stay with two young children. Extras like the decent sized clothes airer, washing line, washing basket and pegs all helped when hanging out washing or damp beach towels and costumes. We loved the mind puzzle games in the cupboaRead morerd and the outside space was sunny and tranquil, listening to the rooks in the churchyard trees. We even heard an owl one night! A very easy walk to the beach, and the village shop was a huge asset and saved us driving further afield to Seahouses unnecessarily. The children loved their cosy bedroom with the twin beds. We will definitely return as it offered us everything we could have wanted. Thank you Hide
