Visit the golden sandy beach for a walk and give surfing or bodyboarding a go (less than 0.5 miles away). Pop to Seahouses (2.5 miles) where there’s a lovely beach and pretty harbour and explore historic Lindisfarne (16 miles) from where you can take a boat (or drive depending on the tide) to Holy Island. Bustling Berwick-upon-Tweed is within easy reach (20 miles), home to a great range of shops, Elizabethan defence walls that you can walk, and the Maltings Theatre.
