The cottage was really lovely. Newly decorated, and very well equipped with everything you could need. Perfectly located on a farm very close to the A1, and a stones throw from all the little villages we wanted to visit. Also, about 25 minutes away by car from Berwick which was an added bonus. Highly reccomended, and to be greeted every morning by Read morethe resident cows was an extra added bonus! They were very friendly Hide

This property is in a beautiful location and close to the A1 with various attractions and the beach close by. However, we did encounter some issues that the host was not willing to address during our stay. We arrived to an infestation of tiny black flying insects in the bedrooms, particularly the back twin bedroom where they covered the walls, beRead moreds and surfaces. We spent a long time hoovering them up but could then not open the windows or doors at all meaning the property and particularly the bedrooms were unbearably hot making sleep very difficult. The host was contacted who refused to provide a fan advising they don't get hot weather often enough. We were told to buy our own. The water pressure is also very poor, when using any water downstairs there is no water upstairs at all so you cannot use the bath and shower at the same time, very inconvenient for a property that sleeps 6. The WiFi has very poor signal, again, when host contacted received an email advising signal will be intermittent in Northumbria. This host was very dismissive of any concerns. Hide

Perfect location. Close to the A1 but far away enough from the road to be a quiet spot. Within easy reach of Bamburgh, Alnwick and all those lovely little villages you're may want to visit. Well equipped, everything you are likely to need during your stay. Extremely clean too. We've already recommended Apple Blossom to family and friends.

Well kitted out with everything you might need. The welcome pack showed attention to detail and was well stocked. Location was great, just off the main A1 making everything easily accessible.

The property was as described and, being only a few hundred metres from the A1, was an ideal base for exploring the area. It was generally very comfortable, although the duvets were extremely heavy and almost impossible to sleep under in an English summer. On the last full day of our booking there was an infestation of very small flies in one bedRead moreroom. The holiday cottage helpline provided no assistance or advice, but repeated hoovering reduced the numbers. Reply from HolidayCottages.co.uk: Thank you for your feedback. I can confirm these issues have been addressed with our management company and steps have been taken to resolve these issues. Hide
