Delight in a special stay at this enticing stone retreat close to North Sunderland. Positioned right on the fringes of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the one-bedroom hideaway sleeps two people, making it ideal for a couple on a romantic getaway or a pair of friends on holiday together. Located 1.5 miles from Seahouses, it enjoys both the beauty of the countryside and the coast and features a wood burner for the colder months and a small garden for summer sunshine.

Wander inside to find the heart of the property, which has underfloor heating, is its impressive, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This capacious room has a high-vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, and everything you could wish for to make your stay perfect. Light the wood burner during the colder months, then settle down together in front of a TV programme or DVD or simply read your books in the cosy glow of the fire. Prepare delicious dinners in the kitchen area then dine together at the table either inside or out. The sofa in this living area can also come with bedding by prior request to accommodate two additional guests. Sofas are too soft and a bit tired. For 5 stars i would expect complimentary toiletries. We had to ask for an outside table which appeared on the 2nd night. Lovely area and good location

We had a wonderful 6 nights at the stables, just a 15 minute walk along the old train path to the centre of seahouses. Accommodation is beautiful the pictures do not do it justice. The stables is well equipped, lovely and warm with under floor heating and log burner if you need it with washer / dryer in kitchen. Bed is very comfortable we slept Read moreso well. Ample parking next to cottage, we did not need to use the car while there as good bus links and ease of walking in beautiful surroundings. Was sorry to leave really. Hide

Arrived at the cottage, nice welcome from Caroline and a lovely surprise of a cream cake in fridge, property was immaculately clean and very well equipped. Lovely position, as easy walking distance to Seahouses for most people. So much to see in the area, so will definitely be back. This was a lovely place to stay. Comfortable and furnished to a very high standard. Only drawback for us was it was too far away from amenities. Would definitely recommend it

Superb cottage for the two of us. Our second time here. Immaculately clean and tidy. Really well equipped with everything we needed. Warm and comfortable. Just a few minutes walk into Seahouses and to the beach. Separate bathroom for a nice soak after a long breezy walk along the beach. Powerful shower in the en-suite. Good off road parking on the Read moredriveway next to the cottage so easy to load and unload car. Hide

Perfect place for 2. Even his and hers bathrooms! Absolutely fully equipped with everything you might need. The view to the Farne Islands from the kitchen door is a real treat in the morning. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting either a walking holiday or a base to explore Northumberland castles. Eating out in Seahouses can be hit and miss. Cottage in great location, very comfortable especially the bed and had almost everything we required (except a corkscrew). We assumed from the pictures it was a single story building but there is a property above the bedroom from which we heard noise most nights
