Make a romantic getaway to this delightful cottage which nestles in a courtyard position at the heart of Seahouses. Set in the old fishing quarter, the one-bedroom bolthole also welcomes canine companions, making it a great option for couples wishing to explore the Northumberland coast with a four-legged friend. Stroll down to the beach, just under 1 mile away from your base, enjoy your proximity to shops and eateries, and take long walks inland and along the coastal path. Return to the cottage to relax on your private, enclosed deck.

Climb three steps up to the wooden deck and open the front door to your Seahouses hideaway. Leave your walking boots or beach shoes in the porch and stroll through to the welcoming lounge/kitchen/diner. Unwind on the comfortable seating in front of your favourite box set. Prepare delicious dinners for two in the well-equipped kitchen area then pull a bottle of wine from the fridge and dine together at the table. Enjoy a long, hot downpour in the shower room at the end of each exhilarating day then head on through to the double bedroom for a superb night’s sleep. Have morning coffee and even breakfast out on the deck in the summertime. Unwind out here over a sundowner on balmy evenings too.

Stroll 0.5 miles down to the harbour in Seahouses to take a boat trip out to the Farne Islands or to go wildlife watching. Drive or walk 3 miles to Bamburgh to see the striking castle that featured in the epic TV series, The Last Kingdom. History-lovers might also like to visit Dunstanburgh Castle, 10.5 miles away. Have a day out to Berwick-upon Tweed, 22 miles away, where you can potter in the independent shops, dine out in an array of eateries and see the impressive Elizabethan sea walls.

We wanted somewhere very quiet and comfortable, near the sea but within 5 minutes walking distance of all the amenities. This cottage fitted the bill nicely. Seahouses has lots of choice for eating out, artisan shops and gift shops too, Good places to visit near by, such as Farne Islands, Lindisfarne (Holy Island) Bamburgh Castle/village and AlnwRead moreick Gardens and Castle. Also right on the coastal path if you're a walker. You are warned that getting into the parking spot is tight. We have a large estate car and managed to get in and out of the parking area without a problem. Hide

This cottage was very clean and comfortable and ideally situated. The advantage of the enclosed verandah is great for the dog to sit outside.

A clean, well kept property that is the perfect spot for exploring Northumberland. The location is fantastic and was super quiet at night. The pictures of the living space were not particularly accurate as the kitchen has been modernised which is fantastic but it is generally smaller than I expected and there is no longer an electric fire. Nicely modernised cottage in a great location. The living room/kitchen and the bedroom are a comfortable size. The Loo/shower/wash basin room however is pretty small. Luckily we are not over-sized people !

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Northumberland. The cottage was ideally placed for access to all the other amenities. We parked the car and left it for a week and walked everywhere or got the bus for an amazing 2 a trip to go from north to south.
