Stroll down to the beautiful beach or over to the historic castle from this enticing cottage at Bamburgh. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom retreat nestles beside the dunes in this impressive Northumberland setting. Ideal for coastal walks, the dog-friendly, single-storey hideaway has a sizeable garden, plus a wood burner and an open fire for cosy nights in.
Take a step up into this single-storey haven to find inviting accommodation. Head into the lounge to settle back on the comfortable seating in front of a crackling open fire. Find a film on the Smart TV or simply chat together. Wander through to the kitchen/diner to make delicious meals, as well as fresh juice and coffee. Stoke up the wood burner in here during the colder months so it throws out a warming glow as you dine together. Pull open the bi-folding doors in the spring and summer. The airy conservatory, with its soft seating, is also a lovely place to gather. When you are ready to turn in for the night, make your way through to one of the beautiful bedrooms. These include a double, with an en-suite shower room that has a step up into the shower, a king-size and two twins. There is also a family shower room, accessed by taking a step up, and a family bathroom. Let the children and pets run free across the generous lawn in the garden while you relax with a drink on the patio or grill local produce on the BBQ. Wash sandy feet and paws under the outside tap.
Head straight out over the dunes to the beach from a gate in the cottage’s garden. Visit Bamburgh Castle, which is believed to date back to at least AD 547. Venture into Seahouses, 4 miles away, to take a boat trip out to sea.
