Toast beside a roaring wood burner or bask out in the sunny garden when you stay at this property in Benthall. Sleeping 10 guests, and welcoming dogs, the five-bedroom holiday home is ideal for an extended family break or a special celebration. Situated on the edge of scenic dunes, the sizeable retreat is less than 0.5 miles from the beach at Beadnell Bay, via a path accessed from a gate in the garden.

Step into this bright, modern cottage to find yourselves in an open-plan kitchen/diner. Put the kettle on for a cup of tea to enjoy with the traditional sly cakes you have bought from a Northumberland bakery and pause at the table for a spell. You will also find everything else you need in here to help you cater for your party at mealtimes. Head into the large, light-filled lounge to light the wood burner on chilly days or open the doors to the garden in summer so everyone can wander outside as the fancy takes them. A family bathroom and three of your bedrooms are also at this level. These include a bunk bedroom, a double and a twin. Two more double bedrooms, one with a 5’ bed and the other with a balcony with far-reaching views, are up on the first floor, together with another family bathroom. Soak up the sunshine, cook on the BBQ and open a bottle of wine under the stars in the well-designed garden at the cottage. Climb the lawned, tiered levels to stroll out over the dunes.

Make your way into Seahouses, 2.5 miles away, to shop, dine out and enjoy a complimentary guest pass to an indoor pool, spa and gym. Spend time on the beach here too or take a boat ride out to the Farne Islands from the harbour.

Had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is fantastic as can access the beach from the back garden. The kitchen was very well equipped with a large fridge freezer. The two bathrooms look like they have been recently updated and the showers were powerful. The beds were very comfortable with high quality bedding. The cottage is in an ideal location and very well equipped ,however, it is starting to look "tired" and the photos on your website are slightly misleading.

We stayed at Seacot with our four grandchildren, aged between 3 and 6, and their four parents. We found the house perfectly suited for such a large family group. It is very well equipped, the rooms are light and comfortable but not overly luxurious, so that we did not have to worry about the kids damaging valuable objects. Seacot's biggest asset, hRead moreowever, is the outdoors. The secluded garden with direct access to the dunes which in turn give access to the beach was an amazing package. Beadnell itself is wonderful, with its combined stone and sand beaches a real treasure, and off the beaten track. Despite the variable weather (many outings nearby, among which the boat trip to Inner Farne Island must be rated very highly), we were very happy in Beadnell. Hide

We had a lovely holiday staying here. Great location, with a beautiful beach just a short walk away and a village shop close by too. Could not fault the location of the property with direct access to the beach and a lovely walk along the beach to Seahouses. Facilities were good. Not really enough comfortable seats for nine people the window seat and small wooden stools not really somewhere you could sit for more than half an hour so the floor was the only option as the sofas onlRead morey fitted six at a squeeze. House was not clean a thick layer of dust over units dirty carpet and the entire bathroom ceiling is covered of black mould. Unfortunately we would not stay again. Hide

Wonderful location in a really well equipped , spacious house with a nice garden. Very child friendly and feels like a well loved home - really nice furnishings and pictures. A minutes walk over to the sandy beach and a few minutes walk from lovely pebble beaches . We would definitely recommend and stay again!

Seacot is in a fantastic location with the beautiful Beadnell beach just across the sand dunes, which may not be a suitable access for some people. The lane to the cottage has deep potholes so needs careful negotiating so as not to scrape the bottom of the car. The beds are comfy with cosy quilts but the cottage and soft furnishings, including bedRead moreding, are in need of a deep clean and some TLC. Hide
