Gaze out to sea from this superb, first-floor apartment in Seahouses. Sleeping four guests, and also welcoming a canine companion, this two-bedroom retreat is just 0.5 miles from the sandy beach and less than 200 metres from the main street, with its shops and eateries. Complete with a balcony where you can relax with a glass of wine and take in the sweeping coastal vistas, it is well-located for getting out and about in Northumberland.

Let yourselves into the foyer via the security door and climb 16 stairs up to your private quarters. Head into the lounge to take in the spectacular views through the glass doors that open onto your balcony. Settle down in front of the Smart TV in here too, listen to music or simply relax on the soft seating. Wander through to the modern kitchen/diner to unpack the fresh local produce you have bought and to prepare the next meal for your family or friends. You will find everything you need in here to help you with your endeavours, plus a table to gather around to dine. Open another set of balcony doors in here on warm days. When eyelids begin to droop, head through to one of your two super-king-size bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom and the other with an en-suite shower room. These bedrooms can both be made up as twins instead if discussed in advance. Have breakfast out on the sea-facing balcony on summer mornings and cocktails in the evening sunshine out on the balcony from the kitchen/diner.

Stroll just over 150 metres down to the harbour to take a boat ride out to the picturesque Farne Islands or to book a seal-spotting trip. Pull on your walking boots and follow the Northumberland Coast Path for 3 miles to Bamburgh.

Superb location central to most major tourist attractions. The upper deck flat gave a fantastic view of the sea and the coast all the way from Seahouses to Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne Castle!. THE LOCATION AND VIEW FROM THE LIVING ROOM WINDOW ARE WONDERFUL. THERE WERE SOME ITEMS MISSING BUT AFTER A PHONE CALL THESE WERE TAKEN CARE. MY ONLY REAL COMPLAINT WAS THAT I WAS THERE FOR THREE WEEKS AND NO CHANGE OF BED LINEN WAS OFFERED.. I FOUND OUT TOO LATE THAT I SHOULD HAVE REQUESTED IT. Great position and view and the apartment was very light and airy. We just felt that general maintenance wasnt being done - e.g. the washing machine soap drawer and filters need cleaning as does the dishwasher filters; the oven light was broken when we got there and your office did sort it quickly, but just little things werent quite right.

The wardrobe in the back bedroom was broken as was the tap in the en-suite. The table in the kitchen had obviously not been moves as there were crumbs etc behind the table.

When we arrived at the property the heating wasnt on and the fridge/freezer was off and had defrosted over the kitchen floor. The flat was cold and considering it was one of the coldest times a little warm would have been appreciate, the flat felt chilled and unaired. The bed in the double room needs a new mattress, very uncomfortable.

We had a lovely holiday & the apartment was very well set up, in a good location & the kitchen/equipment was very clean. Only negatives were the lack of toilet roll, 1/4 of a roll is unacceptable, the kitchen/bathroom floors needed washing & there wasnt a CD player even though all literature stated there was. Silly things missing...no soap in one bathroom, no bin bags, no dishwasher tablets, no cling film or kitchen foil. Silly things but would expect these to be part of kitchen essentials. Lovely apartment though and we will just need to take these things with us when we go next year as we will re book the apartment.

Excellent location. Very clean and tidy and comfortable. But :- No toiletries, no cleaning products (apart from a small amount of washing up liquid) no binliners, no kitchen towel, no non slip bathmat (had been provided on our previous visits), no first aid kit, torch needed new batteries. All these items were stated in the welcome pack. FortunatelRead morey local shops nearby. Of more concern the kitchen tap has a persistent drip. It seems to have been reported at the end of September but no action taken. An email has also been sent to Kingston Property too. Thursday 10.11 and Friday 11.11 were very windy days with a south westerly wind. The wind caused noises above the lounge, which at times were alarming. looking at the roof from the outside, there were no obvious problems, but in one corner of the roof area there are 2 TV aerials so fixings may be the problem. If it were my property I would want it investigated. I hope that your company would think so too. Contact with Original Cottages has always been difficult in the past and it is very difficult to get a response. A high quality property in a stunning location. The whole holiday experience was seamless from start to finish and our stay at the apartment was so enjoyable we booked again for the same week in 2023 (making it our fourth stay).
