This property is not fit to be let as a holiday as it requires considerable maintenance and renewals. We have never experienced such a poor property. The owner and original cottages let us down badly.

We loved our stay at The Haven. It is perfectly located on the sea front and ideal for some great walking. There isn't much happening in Beadnell at thus time of the year, the village shop was closed, but there were two welcoming hotels within easy walking distance. The house was great and so cosy especially when we lit the fire in the living room Read morebut we didn't need to. The house is well equipped. It looks like the owners are in the process of making some upgrades which I'm sure will be lovely. The bathroom and toilet are a little dated but perfectly functional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and what a fantastic area. Hide

Can't be beaten on location. Reception room light bright and spacious. Stunning views. Although back rooms downstairs are dated it was perfect for our multi generational holiday base with children and dogs. Bedrooms are lovely with sea views. With a bit of work the back garden would be a lovely space ...its a right suntrap.

The Haven was just what we were after for our family holiday, a great base to explore Northumberland from. The beach is literally on the doorstep with Seahouses, Bamburgh and Alnwick 5, 10 and 20 minutes drive away respectively. Beadnell itself has a local shop (2 mins walk) with all the essentials you need and a good family friendly pub (5 mins Read morewalk) is also on the doorstep. For those with an EV, there is a Tesla Supercharger open to all EVs 15 minutes away on the A1. Hide

Fab location, house is clean and spacious. Garden is poor though, not good for children, driveway is very tight with concrete feature in the centre making it really awkward to park. Mattress on beds are awful and in desperate need of replacing - didnt sleep well.

This is our second stay in this property and I love it, unfortunately the garden is not at an acceptable standard and is rather neglected. Beautiful property, location, only thing that spoiled it for us was the fact that the rear garden was just a mess, not at all suitable for sitting out in, we enjoy nothing better than alfresco dining - but for us this was just a NO-NO ! Not at suitable for purpose, or what was advertised in the property description ! ??????

The property is very tired. Chipped paintwork, old furnishings, generally outdated. The shower attachment to the bath isn't good - expect thermostatic shower these days. The garden desperately needs attention. There was no welcome pack and no 'essential items' - expectation is for a few dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid, dishcloth and sponge, etc.Read more Not providing this, especially for the price paid, is miserly.
