Can't be beaten on location. Reception room light bright and spacious. Stunning views. Although back rooms downstairs are dated it was perfect for our multi generational holiday base with children and dogs. Bedrooms are lovely with sea views. With a bit of work the back garden would be a lovely space ...its a right suntrap.

The Haven was just what we were after for our family holiday, a great base to explore Northumberland from. The beach is literally on the doorstep with Seahouses, Bamburgh and Alnwick 5, 10 and 20 minutes drive away respectively. Beadnell itself has a local shop (2 mins walk) with all the essentials you need and a good family friendly pub (5 mins Read morewalk) is also on the doorstep. For those with an EV, there is a Tesla Supercharger open to all EVs 15 minutes away on the A1. Hide

This is our second stay in this property and I love it, unfortunately the garden is not at an acceptable standard and is rather neglected. There was also a lot of bird poo on the front window on arrival I would have cleaned the window myself but there were no cleaning materials available. I did clean the garden furniture as this was also covered. ORead moreverall I am sad that we will not be staying in this cottage again as my husband struggles with a shower over the bath and we will need a walk for our next visit to Beadnell. Hide

Beautiful property, location, only thing that spoiled it for us was the fact that the rear garden was just a mess, not at all suitable for sitting out in, we enjoy nothing better than alfresco dining - but for us this was just a NO-NO ! Not at suitable for purpose, or what was advertised in the property description ! ??????

The property is very tired. Chipped paintwork, old furnishings, generally outdated. The shower attachment to the bath isn't good - expect thermostatic shower these days. The garden desperately needs attention. There was no welcome pack and no 'essential items' - expectation is for a few dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid, dishcloth and sponge, etc.Read more Not providing this, especially for the price paid, is miserly. The property was in a great location and was clean . The kitchen and bathroom are in need of an update and the garden was not in an acceptable condition for using as a family to enjoy - I would have been very disappointed with this had we been there in the summer. The location is great. The layout of the place kind of strange. Masses of space downstairs - but only 2 bedrooms and a huge bathroom. Surisingly warm though. Great bed linen and the whole place spotlessly clean. But not a magazine, a book, any games or any sort of instruction pack in the place. It took us a while to figure out the heating, for exaRead moremple. And for most of the taps upstairs you need a plumbers grip to get them on and off. Would stay again, but would know we'd have to bring quite a few things with us. OH ..... and there are definitely things living in the roof. Particularly the garage. We wanted a break Sunday to Friday and booked Sunday to Friday and paid for the 5 nights. Having not had a booking confirmation, I called the following day and was told that we couldn't book from the Sunday as it was not a handover day. As The Haven was in the location we wanted we took the booking from Monday to Friday. The way you work out the nRead moreumber of days as a % of the week meant we got 29 refund for the one night. When the website allowed us to make a booking. Rubbish customer service. In the property there were only a couple of local brochures and extras ie books. The notice left in the kitchen appears to be old covid information as the check out time is detailed as 9am and the check out time advertised and on the check out email is 10. The check email also mentioned bags for the linen and towels. We went to the office to check this as we didn't have any in the property. Conflicting information that I don't want to think about when I am on holiday. My review isn't for the website it is for you to take notice. Seriously disappointed at the booking stage. Hide

The location of the holiday cottage is amazing waking up to the sea each day was a dream come true. On the first morning there we woke up and out of the window could see dolphins swimming past which was just breathtaking. The property is very well equipped with everything that you could wish for in a holiday cottage. Also the back garden could be improved to make it nicer to spend time in there were areas in the garden that felt unsafe. Hide
